Almost breaks the post and the rebound is tapped in. Has created havoc every time he had the ball. 3 excellent runs into the area. Getting a lot of attention and earning 2 promising free kicks. If any criticism, I'd say his shots from out of the area (3 in 2nd half) are WAY over the bar...
A nice little battle between Gwion and Connor. Gwion is not going to be playing in the division one next year!

If we were to sign James, my hope would be that Brooks is moved in to the No10 role and James would take his place. Regarding our other options, Stanislas is constantly injured and Ibe, although I like him as a player, is something of a joke amongst Bournemouth fans. No doubt James would be above these two in the pecking order.
Plus, Fraser might well be off this Summer. Only got a year left on his deal and hasn't re-signed yet.

Great assist. Beats the full back with ease and puts in a lovely left-footed cross.

Yeah, I heard Fraser was moving on, which made me think there could be a place for him at Bournemouth, but Howe ruled out he was moving on apparently? What's the news on the grapevine at Bournemouth then? Reckon they're seriously considering making a move for James? Read that Manchester City are interested in buying him for £10 million, with a view to loaning him out to La Liga side Girona.

Had a quieter game tonight by his standards but a standing ovation as he went off towards the end. Think everyone in the stadium accepted it'd be his last home game. Everyone here's seen what he can do v Slovakia but after a few months he's much too good for the Championship and apart from his speed his technique, passing and crossing has shown that he will make it at a higher level. Still learning to read the game at this level but that only comes with experience. All the best to him

where is he heading? Please not Man city Please not be coached by the best coach in the world? Anyone can coach with a billionaire sugar daddy. Who will Pep be dropping from the lineup to make room for him, Sterling or Bernardo Silva?

Please not be coached by the best coach in the world? Anyone can coach with a billionaire sugar daddy. Who will Pep be dropping from the lineup to make room for him, Sterling or Bernardo Silva? And when Sterling joined them you'd have said who will they drop from the lineup for him, David Silva/Nasri/Navas? The truth is that they'd likely loan him out for first team football with the long term view to bring him into the first team squad or sell him for profit. Either way they won't hold him back. Sane may be thinking of leaving for regular game time, Mahrez hasn't had the best season, David Silva may not continue there for much longer, so who knows what will happen. All I'm saying is if (hypothetically) Pep wants him, that's a good thing. Certainly worked well for Sterling, Stones, Walker, Delph and Foden.

If he goes to Man city and plays regularly I'd be over the moon for him but It's unlikely. I think I'd rather him go to Leeds if they go up, to be honest.

I think it will be harder for him to have a bad move at this point. Agree, Leeds would be good, especially under Bielsa. I just don't think they'll get promoted after bottling the automatics.

Warming to the idea of him joining his mate, Tyler, at Leeds if they make it to the Premier League. I think it's likely he'd get game time there as well as Bielsa seems very keen on him. If rumours are to be believed, Manchester City are planning to loan him out to Girona. What are people's views then? Leeds might be PL strugglers if they make it to the PL next season, or they could thrive, like Wolves have. Girona are currently 17th in La Liga, but he'd get the experience of playing in Spain if they also stay up, not to mention, coming into contact with the likes of Messi from time to time.

Yeh I read about this Girona loan plan and I'm guessing that James will not be keen on the idea. I think Leeds will be alright once they get up there.

I think clubs like Man City/Chelsea have recognised that loaning out players to less physical, and more technical leagues is better for development. Especially for a winger who's far more likely to get kicked about in England. If he joins a different club permanently I think there may be better clubs than Leeds that would be interested tbh.

Starting for Leeds in their first PL season in front of 37,000 every week under Bielsa
I can think of worse moves to be fair
James also grew up in Yorkshire so that may be a factor

Yeah he seemed pretty keen to jump ship and bolt to Yorkshire in the last window but a lot has changed since then.
Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again and probably wont get promoted so its on to bigger and better things for young Daniel.

A left field thought, how about Ajax Amsterdam. They like their players young and hungry but most are homegrown, with a likely mass sale this summer of their best, Daniel could do much worse.

Mostly because unless it's a loan from a bigger club (which Ajax don't really go for) they won't pay £10m-£15m that Swansea would want. Think he'd develop well but their record signing is 16.5m Euros for Daley Blind. It'd be a stretch to see them sign a 2nd division player for £10m-£15m despite the money they'll get this summer from player sales. Think the only realistic transfer considering the level he currently plays and the money Swansea would demand would be the Premier League.

Let's remember his age here. This looks like baseless speculation to me. In 7 months he will be 22. If he were to move to man city and they loan him out to girona for a year, by the time he comes back he will be approaching 23. Speedsters like him peak when they're 23-25. It's not like he's an 18yo who they see as someone who can develop enough to challenge sterling and bernardo silva in a few years time. Sorry, but I don't buy it. I think people are getting way over board in how they rate him. It's been a brilliant season, but it's been just that - a season. One where he's scored 4 and assisted 7 in 33 championship games. He's had a few quieter games recently where teams are figuring him out a little bit, so he's still got so much to prove.
