I’ll be having fucking nightmares about “Boyce” and “Broadhead” tonight. Good lord I know half of Burtons team just by listening to the radio commentary. I shouldn’t know Burton’s squad off by heart; what do I do with this knowledge?

Nathan playing well v MK Dons. Had a brilliant assist - laying it on a plate. No Regan Poole in the starting lineup for MKD. Joe Walsh is also playing well. UPDATE Nathan was withdrawn at half time. Purely tactical, as the Dons had 75% possession in the first half. Other than that, anything decent that Burton did, come from Nathan, down the left wing. He likes to cut in on his right. Reminicent of young Daniel... but not quite there yet ...

3 goals and 2 assists in his last two games for everton u23, seen a lot of fans on twitter calling for him to be included on the bench, we’ll have to see. josh king signing could perhaps rule him out of a future with everton but this lad definitely has a bright future, quality at youth level and shown a lot of promise on his loans.

Nathan back in the U23s squad, along with Ryan and Rhys tonight v United - KO at 7pm EDIT Nat missed a 1on1 earlier, but just scored a 1on1 after a great pass from Hughes. And scores another after the break, assist from Astley - having a decent game, all three of them, to be fair... And ... Yes. He gets his third with a header from a Hughes corner ;-)

Hat trick. Surely this lad should be playing senior football soon:

How old is he now? Must be nearing now or never time at Everton?

22, out of contract end of season and will surely end up at a Championship/League 1 club.

Anyone know which position he played? Did he play as a striker?

Anyone know which position he played? Did he play as a striker? Yes. To be fair, United had about 70% of the possession and Nat was doing a lot of defending from the front, but he was the only man up top

On the bench for Everton tonight, along with Ryan Astley. Great news. Might be imagining things, but was Kyle John (also on the bench) not possibly eligible as well. He’s down as dual qualified for us on Transfermarkt. Not too sure whether it’s correct or not mind.

I'm sure I'd read an interview with him on the Everton website or his profile on the Everton website used to say that he was also qualified for Wales. It seems that he was born in Chester

I remember Kyle John being looked into several years ago, had confirmation from sources not eligible for Wales under regulations

Nathan Rhys and Ryan all this lunchtime on YouTube official Everton site v Arsenal
EDIT Scores another on the full stretch after a great turn from Hughes. ...Against the run of play, to be fair...
It was all Arsenal in the 2nd half, but Nathan had a superb free-kick from 35m out saved, in the dying seconds.

See he is substitute again against Arsesnal.
When exactly is he going to be given a chance these Everton players on the pitch are dire.

Probably a loan move next season

A new deal would be great personal security for him, but I don’t think it’s a good move for his footballing career. He’ll potentially be 25 playing u23s footy. I’d like to see get game time in senior football instead.
Everton have done this with a few players in the past. Matthew Pennington and Luke Garbutt spring to mind as ‘old youth’ players getting deals. Mind-boggling on the club’s part really.

Its a weird one.
He has not looked like getting anywhere near the Everton team and he is 23!
Can't see that changing next season.
There seems nothing exceptional about him - he has barely been mentioned on this forum.
Do Everton just look after their young academy players?
Has he got something special that is not obvious?
The only thing one can think is they believe he has some kind of transfer value and so they will presumably work on a decent loan move for him for next season.

They're either sent out on loan without much thought or plan on the next step or they play regularly for the U23's. I think most of the time these lads are just there so the U23's side can remain competitive whilst bringing younger better players playing alongside the older U23 players if that makes sense? Currently they have over the age of 22 who have barely featured for them on their books Callum Connolly - 23 y.o. (8 different loan spells) (24 this year) Beni Baningame - 22 y.o. (Been loaned out twice and barely played) (23 this year) Josh Bowler - 22 y.o. Matthew Pennington - 26 y.o. (He has made 7 appearances for Everton which also the same number of clubs he's played for! 27 this year too!) Nathan Broadhead - 23 y.o. Dennis Adeniran - 22 y.o. Luke Garbutt left them last season at 27 years old making only 5 appearances in total for Everton. I wouldn't put it past Broadhead to have the same fate at this rate!

Well he needs to push for a good senior loan. It sounded like he did okay at Burton, I'd personally love to see him loaned somewhere in League Two where he can start every game. He needs it now

New contract signed for Everton and looks like he'll be sharing the same fate as the rest. Needs to move permanently. Won't get a sniff at Everton
