Everton aren't going down because Watford are so hopeless and Burnley look like they might have had their mini run and are getting back to losing ways. Burnley the only team that could haul them in. If they beat Everton in their next game it will be a very tight run in

Big trouble now for Everton you have to feel. What were they thinking sacking an experienced Benitez when they were 15th! Then employing an inexperienced manager on top of that too! Nightmare!
Going to be a fascinating relegation battle, I feel the momentum is with Burnley now

Iβd like all our youngsters to escape Everton. Seem to hold on to players far too long and willingly stagnate their careers. Broadhead playing u23s at 23yo case in point. Hope Sunderland get promotion and sign him permanently.
This loan is the best thing thatβs happened to him.
Iβd call him up the senior squad for the NL games.

Doesn't matter how good he is if he can't string more than a few games together without being injured, shame really.

On bench today for the play off final, would imagine he gets on at some point if things are not going to plan, guessing he is not quite fully fit but seems like a game winner at this level so maybe they will risk him.

Signed a new contract with Everton then shipped out on another season loan, this time at Wigan

Great to see a promising welsh youngster join the team you support. Although, do feel Nathan needs a permanent move.

Should be good to see him get game time in the Championship, I don't think Everton is a long term future for him, although they could well be a Championship club next season - in that case he might get games for them
One more good loan at this level, then hopefully he can join a promising top 6 Championship team next year on a permanent deal

Seem strange that Everton have given him a new contract at 24 and sent him out on loan again. Seems too old for that kind of transaction

Very strange. They look short of options up front, and they loan a youngish homegrown talent to Wigan π€ He must be a better option than Rondon surely??

Seems a very Everton thing to do though, constantly giving new contracts in that range. Ellis Simms is another who they should frankly be using themselves rather than shipping out on loan to Sunderland.

This really is a strange one isn't it,he seemed like a force for sunderland and the fans seemed to really rate him and now he is with wigan and scoring,is it only his injury record that's stopping him getting any chances with everton? had a look on the everton forum to see if they are wondering the same but couldn't see anything about him, weird.

didn't he also have a loan spell in league 1 with Burton that didn't go well? And although he did well at Sunderland, he wasn't an automatic first choice with their other striker (Stewart) rated just as highly. He's also just one game into the Wigan role, so if I was an Everton fan I probably wouldn't be that excited about a 24yo with one decent League 1 season to his name either. If he scores 20 in the championship this season, it might be different

Scored tonight.
Watched him a few times this season when I've been able to watch Wigan. Definitely can tell there is a player there, trouble is just keeping him fit.

I didn't realise that he was as old as he is, 25 in early April, 37 career league starts, he really has been a victim of injuries coupled with the weird Everton youth loan policy.
