Could do with a few wide players down West, if he wanted to come back!

Not currently good enough for a squad place

Not currently good enough for a squad place A little harsh on someone that has been injured since April ;-( Thought he was progressing well last year, up until his injury.

Too many ahead of him, will need to be playing at a higher level to merit a chance. Another Tom Bradshaw for me, not quite good enough.

Won't get near the squad unless we have a huge injury crisis.

Who would you drop to accommodate him?

Ryan played his first full 90 minutes today since April. When we will all be chanting his name from the terraces of the Qatari stadia in 2022, I shall be saying that I told you so ;-)

In 2022 he may be playing at a higher level.
My prediction is he won't get more than 10 caps.

Just like the way Ryan plays and think he has something very special that he brings to the table. Possibly right in him being behind 2 or 3 others, but he is no less of a decent player - it just shows that we are currently very well off.
Currently, there are three extra special players that - for me - are banging very loudly on the 23 squad door (players that didn't feature last time, that is) in this order:
Lee Evans Gwion Edwards and Ryan

Is he starting for Barnsley this season? Seemed to be on the bench quite a bit last season.

His 20 minutes v Panama were very good. He only had 2 minute v Uruguay ...

Sadly, Both Ryan and Lloyd didn't seem to feature much from February onwards. Perhaps their flair / expansive play was deemed inappropriate for the struggling side...
Ryan is only 23 - I am sure he will come good ;-)

On the bench v Luton on Sky at 12pm
Nathan Jones' Luton for those already thinking of a Giggs replacement.

Got a little excited when I read that James Collins scored Luton's goal ... but not our ginge ;-( Barnsley have used Ryan off the bench these last two weeks - so probably not quite 100% match fit yet after being injured for 6 months

Its been a long time coming, but Ryan is starting today in the Aaron Ramsey Cup ;-) Adam Davies is captain. Ben Williams in defense. Facing Sam Vokes. Poss HD stream here studiojunction.live/Huddersfield-Town09.php
HALF TIME EDIT Hedges fairly quiet, but had a couple of late nice runs into the area. Vokes has three half-chances, which he should have done better with. Davies done well at the very last minute, and generally looked very commanding.
For me, Ben Williams looked very good. For a 19 yo, he looks brimming with confidence and a real threat every time he pushed forward down the left flank. A half shout for a penalty when sweeping into the box and another goal disallowed from a good cross he delivered.
