Hope he can get some game time out in Albania. Looks a very decent prospect!

Now that he's been called up, I hope he plays. I can't wait to see him charge through the opposition's defence in a senior international game.

Another one that could do with a loan in January.

Linked with a permanent move to Germany in January. Hard to argue that this wouldn't be the right move for him, IMO. Just can't see him getting the chance to prove himself in *that* Man City side anytime soon (even if he enjoyed a successful loan abroad) Wonder whether the model for these 'super clubs' with their enormous academies will increasingly be to sell their younger stars but include buy back clauses to mitigate any losses if they are the real deal. www.thesun.co.uk/sport/7981227/rabbi-matond-man-city-bundesliga-wales/

This could be a potentially brilliant move for him. It's certainly worked out for Jadon Sancho.

This could make Friday evening viewing even more exciting ;-)
Good translation - just "bloedvorm" is 'Red Hot' not blood form ...
FC Twente are currently 2nd in the 2nd tier. 2 points behind the leaders. Matthew Smith has played every match (when not on Welsh duty). From watching them 6 or 7 times, I am pretty sure they will start Rabbi regularly as well, if he in fact goes there.

Hopefully we get him locked in soon. Hopefully it works out similar to other in the German league.

Everton and Southampton interested as well apparently. Would prefer he went to Germany though.

Headed to Schalke apparently Talk of a €10m bid being rejected. Considering Rabbi still hasn't kicked a ball for City, the £7m DCFC paid for Tom Lawrence is laughable ...

Fee agreed with Schalke. Great move for the kid. Didn’t stand a chance at City. Great move for Wales 🏴 this

Could have Real Madrid, Juventus, Schalke 04, Chelsea, Liverpool (on-loan) players in next squad? Brooks, Mepham (AFC Bournemouth) as well. WOW!!!!!

What a difference a year makes. Although we were no strangers to disappointment during the Euro League Nations, the first game and the last two games of that tournament were a marked improvement on the WC Qualifying campaign. Our squad are new in comparison and gaining in experience all the time. Many have been promoted. I'm quietly optimistic for the future of Welsh football! 👍

I'm quietly optimistic for the future of Welsh football! 👍 What I've noticed is that our players seem to be enhancing their club careers by representing us. Ampadu, Brooks, Woodburn, Mepham, Smith, T. Roberts and now Matondo all seem to have gained traction in their club careers after playing for us, which in turn has benefits for Wales in the long run. Looks like our model of trusting youth is serving us well. Great move for Rabbi as well if the Schalke move comes off.

If this move is finalised and Rabbi plays a couple of games for Schalke before the Slovakia game, do you think he will be called up for the 23?

If this move is finalised and Rabbi plays a couple of games for Schalke before the Slovakia game, do you think he will be called up for the 23? He looks like the perfect impact player - he was the quickest player in a Man City squad that includes Walker, Sane and Sterling! + it would commit him to us, so I can't see why not! He probably deserves it over Woodburn at this point

€13m from a German team shows a lot of confidence in him. Well done and good luck, Rabbi.
Does anyone know is Cardiff City stand to get a knock on payment?

£11.5m is still pretty cheap when you consider the market today.
I think not being English could be a huge selling point for Wales & our young players, you get the relative potential without the 'English Premium' tag, so we could export our youth all over Europe in a similar manner to Portugal or the Netherlands.

If this move is finalised and Rabbi plays a couple of games for Schalke before the Slovakia game, do you think he will be called up for the 23? Think he'd be guaranteed to be in the 23 if this happens. Question would be more whether he should be in the starting 11. Big opportunity for Rabbi if this goes through (and it looks like it will). Schalke have got a fair few injuries so he should get a few opportunities in the next few weeks.
