That will be really harsh if Wales don't qualify for the play-offs after winning all their home matches and beating Hungary away. That should already be enough but if you can't beat Luxenbourg away..........

Really Scoop? According to Dragonsoccer our goal difference was three better than Italy before the game, so four now... Really. If we finish level on points, head to head record between Wales and Italy counts before goal difference. GD will only come into play if Italy win 2-1. Ah right, all to do then

Good effort from the team especially after such a discouraging result in Malta. Gives us something to cheer after last night.

Today's result is all the more impressive when you consider we were without EIGHT of the side who beat Italy last season. No Eardley, Ribeiro, Blake, King, Ramsey, Church, Vokes or Evans. Well done to everyone involved with the Under 21s.

If we could only qualify for the finals, imagine the squad Flynn would have his disposal. The 14 lads who played tonight, plus the 8 missing players listed above, plus the option of Nyatanga, Bale and Collison.

After last nights fiasco it was a joy to watch the U21s win today. Hopefully we can get a result against Italy.

Church, King and Eardley have been sent out for the Italy game and will be considered for selection.

Hopefully some of these will follow through but as we have seen there is a big step up from U21 to full international football. A great result for sure but many on here seem to think that there is no difference between this and the seniors. Great result though. Shows that success breeds success and losing does likewise.

Even if the lads don't make the step up to the senior squad in the future, qualifying for the finals would be a major achievement in itself. The finals are only 8 teams too so we'd have every chance of challenging to win it if Bale and Ramsey played in it.

And if we get to the play-offs we'll be guaranteed at least a second place seeding for Euro 2013, meaning hopefully a favourable draw for the next round of qualifiers. Success breeds success as you say.

Didn't see a stream of this myself, so who were the stand-out performers for Wales? How did Allen and Taylor do? Was Matthews any good before he got injured - he's been playing well for Cardiff this season. Any of them look ready to step up to the seniors?

Belarus have knocked Italy out. Great result because Wales finished above Italy and everyone knows we've got shafted by UEFA. WELLDONE BELARUS .2-0 down after the first leg aswell.

Has Welsh international football hit rock bottom?

UEFA have 2 scores up. Wales lose 3-2. or Draw 3-3 looks like a draw to me with Adam Matthews scoring a penalty 95 mins. Get in there!!!

3-3 Bradshaw 91mins and Matthews penalty 94mins. Wales should end up equal first in group.

Considering Turkey is football mental, and has a population of 72 million, thats a fantastic result really. I mean, a lot, lot more Turkish kids play football than Welsh kids, so its a real battle to compete with these huge nations. 2 goals in injury time too, which shows shed- loads of spirit. Good luck for the rest of the tournament lads.
