Must admit that the last 3 or 4 matches they were extremely unlucky. Playing really well, but coming short. Cant imagine them getting anything v Man City, but a relegation battle? No. No way.

Will depend on who they have to sell.
Look at the table not a million Miles above the drop zone.

Connor earns a pen ;-) Thank the Lord Celina is no longer on penalty duty ...
James is looking hot as well, and what a Cracker of a move he started for the second goal ;-)

Give over, City are the most dominant side since Barca 2008-2012. They leathered a Schalke 7-0 in Europe the other day, and are likely to win 5 trophies this season. Without wanting to sound condescending, Swansea and their scratch side should be proud of the fact they gave City a scare and took it right to the wire.

However, for the first 70' Swansea played City off the field. Five commentators at the DUTCH studio were unanimous - it wasn't a pen and it was close to a full metre offside. So City only scored one kosher goal and should have lost, had there been VAR...

VAR is a bit like pandoras box. I'd sack it off for the cup or only involve it for the final.

Is it too late to push for the play-offs? 10 points to make up, with 30 left to play for? Not saying that they will actually get promoted, but the side is good enough to be there or there abouts.
Only hoping that they will keep hold of Connor, Joe and Dan for next year, when they could run away with the title.

Shame about no VAR yesterday, no problem with the officials tbh the PL refs are awful we all know that, won't get a chance to feature in a semi final with no big 6 side for a long time.
Played really well, but for us to go up we need to play like that week in week out, the squad is good but needs a few additions.

Played as well as any the vast majority of prem teams do against Man City. Conner Roberts clearance off the line was as good as Ben Davies in Bordeaux. Your second goal one of the best I've seen this season and in the end your only outdone by one terrible and one poor decision. This season is probably pretty much over for you and I'll be very surprised if you don't lose James in the summer. You'll mightcome under pressure to hold onto Roberts and Van Der Horn as well.

You lost in the dying moments to an all-conquering side, I get that it's a bitter pill to swallow but when you look at some of City's results this season I think Swans fans should be proud of how close it was.

I'd blindly expect us to batter a hot-form City in any encounter and be inconsolable for days if we somehow expectedly lost.

They have got 6 points from last 7 league games
If they lose the centre halves and mcburnie they will be in trouble next year.
Hope this doesn't happen

I went to this one and just couldn't believe the refereeing decisions. James was hacked to hell, yet only won a couple of free kicks. Crazy. He was ripped down in the box with Swansea 2-0 up at the time. The linesman was level with it too. At half time the number 14, Laporte? Punched Routledge in front of the ref, yet he had a little talking to and that was it. That's besides the Sterling theatrical dive after the Swansea guy had clipped the ball for a corner, and the ref then gave a penalty. Oh, and the offside winner. Seriously, that ref and assistants must be on City payroll. The worst decisions I have seen in years.

I was in the city end on Saturday and was well impressed with the swans approach. Time and again this season teams have just set up to defend. Your manager knew that you would cause problems with pace on the break. James gave Walker a torrid time first half , although he did keep him pretty quiet in the 2nd. Sterling penalty might not have been overturned with var because it was not an obvious mistake. Aguero was definitely off though. Sorry for Swansea city have been on the end of a few bad decisions this season too,but it was a cracking cup tie.

I can't let that comment on the penalty go. Not only did Carter-Vickers clearly touch the ball, his contact on Sterling was negligible - far less than Gundogan on James in the 65th minute in the penalty box, with the score at 2-0. If VAR was operational Swansea would quite possibly have been 3-0 up with just a quarter of the match left. Even City would have been hard-pressed to overcome that deficit.

This was another example why I dont follow club football much anymore. The game is corrupt. Agree bro. Whenever you are playing against these big teams you never get the decisions. Man City are especially good at cheating, especially since Guardiola has taken over, overated and with the money he has been able to spend he cannot fail. Mourinho was another one.

Sad news this evening reported on ITV News. Following relegation, the club is looking at scaling down and potentially looking at redundancies. Such a shame.

Hopefully wont affect academy bu probably will at some stage.

Quite a production line they've got going there at Swansea City What's their secret? Long term investment. I've been posting for a while that the academy should be coming good. Relegation was a blessing in disguise for Swansea and Wales. If Swansea fail to claim maximum points in their next two or three games I expect to see a few more U23s to be given a run-out before the end of the season. Liam Cullen and possibly Oli Cooper or Mason Jones-Thomas will hopefully get some game time, and perhaps Cabango as well.
