He's back on the grass moving well after his hamstring injury. Will be introduced to the group soon according to O'Neil.

I really hope Brooks can recover physically. He was so creative and would have had an increasing impact on games. He was already having major impacts on games versus the top 6 prior to his ankle injury. If we got him back to close to his best and if Luke Harris could develop rapidly in the next 2 years then creatu=ivity and that midfield to attack link up would start to look far better! what are pity, if he was able to stay healthy, would have been an automatic starter in euros and wc. Head and shoulder above DJ, BJ and HW |

March will probably come too soon for him, but I expect him to be back in the squad at some point this campaign. Might not see the best of him until the start of 23/24, by which time he will be 26 (time flies!)

Courtesy of dragonsoccer The Cherries boss finished with an update on David Brooks, who is making progress from his return from a hamstring injury. “Brooks is close. There’s still bits to do and we maybe need to get him some time on the pitch in bigger areas but he’s trained well in and around the lads. “There’s a few little bits to tick off, final hurdles to get over before he’s back involved but hopefully very, very soon.”

So HAPPY for him.
What happened to him and Barden puts everything into perspective.
Hope he stays healthy for many decades and if he can amazingly get back to his previous levels and contribute to our journey then great. Most important thing is that horror he suffered at such a young age is permanently behind him.
Loved him as a player and then he showed amazing courage to fight back against his illness. Dai Brooks welcome back!

He's just a natural footballer. Remember before his injury how seamlessly he was fitting into different positions and making an impact against excellent teams.
He has the vision, just hope physically he is able to meet the demands of the game

Of course that's a factor, but if he wants to play and he's ready to make an impact on the bench he should be there. There's a few who make every squad that he's ahead of and I haven't even seen him play lately! |

One of my mates has a list of the best players he's seen live, he's seen pretty much everyone over the last 20 years, Jason Koumas and David Brooks remain in his top 10. We played some beautiful football at times when he was in the team, I really hope he can come back and make an impact, he seems like a lovely lad.
