Brilliant news! He could make the World Cup squad if we make it. Would be a fairytale but irrespective of footballing future - let’s hope he has long, happy and healthy life.

Lovely to see him amongst the team celebrating at the end. Hopefully he can get back to full fitness and be in the squad by the WC.

Fantastic news. So pleased for him. Long way to go but all seems very positive thus far.
Without trying to make this an "aren't we great thing", really impressed with the role played initially by the Welsh medics and now by the wider Welsh set up in his rehabilitation. Speaks volumes as to the nature of our set up.

Back in training with Bournemouth today First hope he stays healthy for a long life Secondly hope he fulfils his full potential - he was already looking a top, top player before he got ill Would love to see him win a place in our team in the WC. Seems too much of a stretch but he has already won the fight of his life so who knows!

When in full flight and healthy I think he's our best player potentially, considering the age and lack of football of our 2 other better players.

Blimey he looks so much healthier and fitter already. Dunno about the prem thing being an issue. They'll be very keen to get him on the pitch I reckon. We'll see I guess ..

Would be incredible if he could make the world cup squad. It may be a little bit too soon for him but wouldn't be surprised if that is his target.

Given the ability to have a long list. I would hope we at least name him on that.

Unless he breaks a leg he’s going. He’s got a lot of fight in him and he will be fit

Think he'll quickly get into their starting lineup looking at their current options. Hope he quickly gets back to his best, and this is very encouraging for his WC chances
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him included in the next squad

Wow, surprised that he's going to be playing with the u21s already. Last I heard he wasn't quite ready to take part in full training.

I think he'll be part of the extended squad for the Nations League based on this. What is boost it will be for him personally to be involved. It's easy to forget how good he was prior to his illness, where the hell do we fit him in now?! What an option to have back! And just in time for the World Cup

Not sure about that. I seem to recall he was fairly underwhelming in the championship prior to discovering the issue, in fact he was in and out of the first team. I have no idea whether the cancer played a part in that. But he showed during his first season in the premier league that he can be a top player. It's such a shame that his career has been disrupted so much by three long layoffs now and all the personal trauma he's had to go through, but he's still young and has plenty of time to make up for it!

He had stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma and it was his fatigue in training that alerted the Welsh medics. Hardly surprising that he'd been "underwhelming" his immune system was probably in bits.
His health and well being still number one priority. If he's fully fit, I reckon he's on the plane. Class act.

I seem to recall reading that his performances/physical condition might have been the first indication that something wasn't quite right re: the cancer As you say undoubtedly a top player though

Yeah could be a while til he's anywhere near match fitness. A real shame, it'll probably be two seasons out of a very promising career.

Brooks and James on either wing with Brennan supporting Kieffer could be amazing.

Sounds promising....
Football Association of Wales chief medical officer Jonathan Houghton wrote on his Instagram account: “Seeing @db_36 fit and smiling made my day it’s been a long road back from Hodgkin’s lymphoma but I think I can safely say that we all can’t wait until he pulls on a Wales shirt again.
“Hoping that he will run out for Bournemouth in the next 4-6 weeks.”

I really hope Brooks can recover physically.
He was so creative and would have had an increasing impact on games. He was already having major impacts on games versus the top 6 prior to his ankle injury.
If we got him back to close to his best and if Luke Harris could develop rapidly in the next 2 years then creatu=ivity and that midfield to attack link up would start to look far better!

Another brilliant but unlucky as f*ck player.
Blighted by injuries, gets cancer, beats it, hamstring issue, them virus.
Hope he recovers soon, he deserves some luck.
