I'd actually prefer that he does stay in the championship. He hasn't played a full season injury-free yet, so I'd like to see him do that before moving on.

I would also like to see him stay in the Championship. He's yet to play 30+ games in a season in all competitions and think if he can mange that this season he will hopefully put those fitness concerns behind him and hopefully earn a better move than to that of West Ham. I know obviously very different players but only have to look at James last season for a player who moved to quickly in my opinion

I agree with the above comments, think it's too early for a PL move yet. If he has an excellent run between now and January, perhaps a move would be suitable then, but for now I think he needs to maintain a good, injury-free spell in the championship.

A move in Jan would be ideal. Playing regularly in a good defensive unit with Roberts and Cabango suits us with four NL games on the horizon.

If Man United had any sense they'd be in for him - they need a CB more than they need a new winger

Much as I'd like to see him stay at Swansea forever, a January departure might be good timing all round. If he stays injury free, and plays well for club and country he should command a much bigger transfer fee come January, plus he'll have the game time that he's currently short of. On top of that he'll be more likely to be in a position to join a decent club, which I don't consider West Ham to be under current ownership.

Spurs and Liverpool making moves now apparently. Swansea want £18m.

Looks like Spurs are going to get him for £18 million, which is gutting from a Swans perspective but it's definitely a good move for him.
I wonder if the Swans have the option of recalling Brandon Cooper from Newport?

Sounds like Spurs are definitely in for a CB. Would love to see him go there as I think he's more likely to play there than Liverpool - although Klopp seems to turn his CBs into really good players...but then so does Jose. Great news all round if either comes off!

Great news all round if either comes off! Obviously Rodon has great potential, but in the immediate does he get infront of Alderweireld, Sanchez and Dier? I’m not so sure. Although they have plenty if cup matches. In addition, this could be another sign of moving to a 3/5 back, but that’s just my initial reaction.

Too right, if Godfrey is worth 20million then Rodon is worth more than that. Hope Swansea don't give in, if he was English he'd be going for 30m+.

Our players being underpriced for not being English isn't a bad thing. They represent great value & places much less expectation on their shoulders

Fee agreed, he's signing a five year deal with Spurs.
The fee? £11 million rising to £13.5 million. We've been robbed.

Fee agreed, he's signing a five year deal with Spurs. The fee? £11 million rising to £13.5 million. We've been robbed. Robbed by who though? By Spurs or Swansea's owners for letting Rodon go for far less than his worth? I'd say the latter. It's not as if the owners haven't got previous - with the James to Leeds fiasco. Good for Rodon in the long-term, but will he get decent game time between now and the Euros?
