Don't get me wrong, I think he would make the first team of about half of premier league clubs so I don't think he should drop down to the championship, he's just not quite good enough for the top clubs.

No Rodon in the squad for today’s Prem game against Everton. Is that Ryan Mason still at Spurs? He doesn’t rate Rodon at all

Apparently he was warming up on the pitch before the game?
What's that about?

The club must be crushing his self believe.
Would not mind if it was a top club and their central defenders (other than Romero) were top notch but it isn't / they are not!

Needs to move in January - he is wasting his career. Needs to move back to the championship and play every week. Unfortunately it appears he is quite not good enough for the premier league at this point in time. Let’s hope he gets another shot in the future.

If he'd have joined West Ham last January how different things might be for him. A loan move back to Swansea or back with Cooper at Forest is what he needs.

I've not rated Romero when I've seen him, got bullied physically and mentally by Antonio and ended up petulantly starting on a grounded Fornals only to bottle it when Fornals got to his feet.

Would still take him at West Ham next summer. Ogbonna is getting on, and I don't trust Dawson as a regular in a back four. Joe and Zouma would be a strong CB pairing.

From a quick twitter search, he's getting a fair bit of stick, mostly for poor distribution and particularly long balls - a few of which went straight out apparently. As I've said before, Conte won't start him unless he can show he's comfortable on the ball. He needs to move to a team lower in the league where that isn't as much of a priority. Burnley comes to mind

Dier slipped then they were able to go for goal in the 94th minute and score!

Dier slipped then they were able to go for goal in the 94th minute and score! Wasn't it Davies who slipped? But Sanchez was mainly at fault anyway

Not one Spurs centre back has shone this season, that's the bigger issue at that club, especially when you see the clueless midfield that plays in front of them. I don't know where Rodon is going to end up because I can imagine his wages are pretty high, it will almost certainly be a loan move, Norwich?

Total and utter nightmare. That's 3 managers that he was kind of out of favour with, albeit Mason was not a proper manager. The only thing that makes sense for someone like Dier being first choice constantly is that he can hit long balls and is better in attack? However, I prefer my central defenders to be great defenders first. I find it totally baffling. I was convinced Rodon was destined to be a top defender but am shocked he is well behind 2 or 3 of those players! We need him playing regular football somehow by the time of the play offs

That would be the perfect move for him. He's worked with Potter who clearly rates him. They play good football, and they've just sold their best cb in White so he should be first choice straight away

If it's ever going to happen for him at Spurs the time is now...... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59495502Loads of games coming up for them between now and the new year, surely Joe will get some game time which, either way, should be good for him.

Not in Spurs' 20-man squad tonight, despite their best CB being injured. I really can't see how he gets another look-in for them. It's probably a good thing as it will (hopefully) mean he agitates for a move in Jan and they look like they would be very happy to move him along. If he was closer to the first team, he would be more in limbo and more likely to waste the season.

Looks like his time at Spurs is probably about finished unfortunately. Hopefully he can get a move or at least a loan in January and get some playing time under his belt before March. I do think he's premier league quality but maybe just not a great fit for Spurs.

It's probably a good thing as it will (hopefully) mean he agitates for a move in Jan and they look like they would be very happy to move him along. If he was closer to the first team, he would be more in limbo and more likely to waste the season. In Conte's press conference today he said that he sees Rodon exclusively as a central CB in the back three, which is Dier's position to lose at present. Conte seems very particular about players being specialists in his defence, so as he considers Rodon a CCB, he won't play him at RCB or LCB. It's possible Conte won't consider loaning him out because he's the designated back-up for that position. Unfortunately, judging from social media it appears Dier has done well since Conte came in, so Rodon could be waiting a while for a chance unless Dier gets injured. Not really an ideal situation. I think he might in fact actually be in limbo and quite likely to waste the season after all...
