Indeed, an excellent read! Any whispers about him signing for the Swans, or is he certain to leave?

Absolutely no movement on the contract negotiation front as of yet, as far as I know. But that could change by tomorrow, next week, next month or whenever, I have no idea. All I know is that if the owners are keen to sign him, they should do it before November if they are sensible. Likewise with a number of other Swansea players, including Connor Roberts. In my opinion, it should have been done long before now.

I'm confident that both Roberts and Rodon will sign extensions - simply because of the manager they're working under. Potter himself has said publically that he thinks they would develop further under him - and it's hard to argue with hime on that. However, if the club offer really poor deals (which would be unsurprising given the American owners handling of the club), or there's a big offer from the Premier League then who knows.

Money talks.
I'm afraid their agents will have the biggest say.

The Swans need to ensure we don't let them leave for free if they do go though.

There are still people on Twitter complaining that Roden was left out.
I genuinely cannot remember any other occasion where so many people were unaware a player is injured
Loads of people have been left out of every single squad when injured without call for them to be called up but for some reason Roden being injured is beyond everyone’s grasp.
I guarantee that when Roden gets named in the next squad, there will be people saying ‘about time’ or ‘should have been in before’

There will be plenty of questions when he plays on the weekend That would be wrong, there should only be questions when a pattern is established. There's no reason to doubt Rodon had a genuine knock, even if he has pulled through it by now and plays over the weekend.

Rodon limped off the pitch against Bolton - there's no question he had a genuine injury. If anything the Swansea owners are probably keen for him to play for Wales, especially now he's extended his contract, as this will almost certainly add to his value, perhaps substantially so if he excels, as I think he may.

Wasn t saying there should be but the lack of information given will eat to rumours.
It will also be the second time this season he plays after pulling out of a Welsh camp.
That's if he does play

Broke metatarsal.
Sheff U were a dirty side. Continually leaving the foot in.

Agreed they were dirty - but the broken foot seemed to happen away from contact. Big shame for him, at least it should keep the predators at bay for now. Swansea is where he needs to be for now. It does mean he'll probably miss out on the T & T friendly.

It does mean he'll probably miss out on the T & T friendly. Thought it was done earlier and he was trying to run it off. Don't think you can break a metatarsal without contact. Shame as he was playing well again.

How has he been doing in recent games? Are fans still as positive as they were after the first few games?

How has he been doing in recent games? Are fans still as positive as they were after the first few games? He was dropped after one or two errors, or perhaps rested to give our loanee some games (who was excellent yesterday), but came back looking as good as before. He's good in the air (6ft 4in) and very comfortable on the ball. He's only 21 which is no age for a centerback. Ash was very nearly 24 before he played at this level. Him and Mepham could be our CB pairing for a long time.

He really needed a break (along with Van der Hoorn) and it's a shame that it's going to take so long for him to get fit again.
