Nice assist from young Dylan, hopefully that’s earned him more starts: Think he's taken a lot of exaggerated flack. He clearly has tons of ability & could potentially be a great player for us one day if he develops the physical side of his game. We may well look back on his first 5 caps as necessary to getting him up to scratch I'm yet to see that ability, personally. His 5 caps have done us little harm but I don't see why he's been called up to this squad. He shouldn't be anywhere near the Belgium and Czech Republic games, and I'd rather use the Mexico game to see how Burton could fit in. If Levitt is as talented as you claim he could be an asset to the U21s as well. All that being said, he's still very young and will have ample opportunity to prove me and others wrong. I hope he does.

Easily his best performance for us, he showed a great range of passing and that through ball for Brooks should have resulted in a goal.
If he gets a good loan next season he could kick on further.

I concur. He was one of the winners of today’s friendly. It vindicated the decision to include him in the squad. He looked very effective with the ball.

His passing as always been world class. He’s probably amazing in training. Just Wales fans haven’t seen that. Maybe today was take off!

If he does progress he's something completely different to what we have. Allen, Morrell & Smith are all metronomes who get around the pitch and play short sharp passes. Levitt is in the mould of a deep lying playmaker, more of an orchestrator or a quarter-back. A player like him will be really useful for breaking down deep sitting opposition in the future

I've watched the u23's a few times and he didn't stand out, and it's easy to make a compilation vid on youtube of good moments. The problem is, he has been dire for us since his first cap. Today was a step in the right direction though, much better and hopefully that gives him confidence.

Seems to have bulked up a bit as well maybe the Croatians introduced him to the weight room, but I also thought he was good today.

Starts for United vs Derby County in a pre-season friendly. The United team made up of people who didn't go to the Euros, and highly thought of youngsters.
Heaton, Wan-Bissaka, Williams, Tuanzebe, Mengi, Garner, Levitt, Mata, Chong, Greenwood, Elanga.

Generally considered to have a good half, and a better half than James Garner although it's only a friendly, the whole team was rotated at half-time bar the centre-backs.

One of the few who played well against Albania, hopefully he can kick on this season (feels like you could say that about all our players at this point tbh)

He certainly has great vision and an eye for a pass. Still, I do wish he ate a little more red meat ... he still looks like Dai Brooks' younger brother!

Got a few good reviews on Twitter after the match today. This loan could be the making of him.

A nice video showing his range of passing against Finland. Great to see the continued improvement in his game: A superb passer of the ball. I have high hopes for this lad. A positive and slick passer. The SPL will make a man of him. The Dundee forum did stress some concerns about the brutes in the SPL roughing him up …

Love the one he slips around the corner at 0:15 There are so many examples in that compilation where he shows his class, just really small things that any scout would pick up on as showing real potential whereas most football fans wouldn't pick up on it. The way he turns to buy himself some space on 1.42 is another example and the weight of the passes on 1.24 and 1.38 are just phenomenal. Love the way he plays through the lines as well, I think he already does that better than any of our other midfielders

Love the way he plays through the lines as well, I think he already does that better than any of our other midfielders I love the fact that he looks for the early pass and executes it so well. It enables us to find space, stretch the defence and keep us on the front foot. Our other midfielders tend to take several touches and slow play down, allowing the defence to reset. If he can develop over the next year he could play a big role in helping us against top sides - picking out passes quickly will be vital when we are denied space and time. Great prospect.

How much abuse did this kid receive up until this match?
I agree - what I loved vs Finland from both Dylan and Smith was their looking for offensive, forward passess between the lines. We just did not see that at all from Allen and Morrell during the Euros

The pro coaches see something in him I agree, if the likes of Ryan Giggs see things in Levitt in training then that’s good enough for me. He will grow into an International footballer & could be a real fixture for us going forward, I really hope so.

I think Levitt is the most creative of our deep-lying midfielders. With us coming up against a couple of teams who are likely to sit very deep, it might not be the worst idea in the world to start him in these games. But it won't happen, it will be Morrell partnering Allen
