Blinking heck! Looks like we are all going to get wet if it rains, then ;-( In fact, according to this, the tiny VIP covered enclave costs a mighty 10,000 lek, which is a whopping £70 ...
Makes the rubbish away seats at the Aviva for £50 sound like a bargain ;-)
I got those cheap prices off their fa website. Bale doesnt come to town often so i assume prices might be higher!

Has anyone figured out how to register for tickets on the Albanian site? I can only see login option with existing registration?
I see that their tops also sell for 10,000 lek - £70 ... Must be a few rich Albanians around ... fshf.org/shop/

I've gone in the National Fans tab but there's nothing for sale there yet. I'd imagine that's where you'd get tickets judging by the layout as you need a login etc to check purchases. Might be worth keeping an eye on that.

I'll be looking for an Albanian club shirt. There's a nice blue and white striped jersey for one of the Tirana outfits. My Dinamo Tbilisi shirt (sadly had to get a white away one as there were no blue in my size) is on the rail. I belatedly got Partizan Belgrade too.

You picking one up in Turkey as well? You've a nice little collection coming along from your travels.

I won't pay silly money for one. Just won the yellow and red away shirt for less than £30 on eBay. I think Dinamo Tbilisi's shirt came to £30 or so too. I'll slow down the collection once I reach 50.

Especially for our @gary_williams Albanian pancakes are closer to the Russian blinnis than to French crepes. Usually made of buckwheat and often thick and served with soured cream ;-) called Palaçinka
Other common breakfast staples are Petulla , which is a deep fried buckwheat dough, usually served with with powdered sugar or feta cheese and raspberry jam ;-)
Last, but not least, the Albanian byrek / burek is supposed to be much less oily/greasy than the Serbian one! Usually contains goat's cheese / spinach or potato

Anybody looking for flights to Tirana. Wizzair were offering return fares a couple of days ago from Luton for just over £100. Worth a look if you're still looking and both flights were direct :-)

With the lack of tickets (currently) for the Denmark game and 2000 showing interest to this game with a potential 500 allocation can the FAW start making enquiries early with the Albanian FA regards our allocation?

They are home to Scotland a few days earlier too in the Nations League , be interesting to see what allocation the Jocks receive for this one .

For that price might need to reconsider in future.

WIZZ ALERT
For anyone that booked Wizz Air from Luton direct to Tirana, be advised that as of 2 August Wizz have rescheduled all their flights to Tirana, either by a full day or a few minutes.
If you click on your booking online it will give you the full (changed) details. The Email tends to take them around 2 or 3 weeks...
If your flight has changed, even by a few minutes, you can either:
1/. Get a full 100% refund on your card. 2/. Get a 120% refund into your Wizz Air credit account 3/. accept their new times.
Currently Luton-Tirana return out Monday back Friday is around £100 (back Wednesday is £130)
Same issues with their Budapest - Tirana flights ...
Alternatively, BLUE PANORAMA has a zillion flights from all over ITALY direct to Tirana for around €50 each-way, if you can get to Italy cheaply - www.blue-panorama.com/main

corky reporting that there were 1,200 people who qualified for Stage 1 for Denmark. From my (rough) calculations, around 1100 bought tickets in stage 1. That makes approx 1100 with 6 aways from ten. Probably around 1000 people with 7 aways from 11 by the times Albania rolls around. If our allocation is indeed only 600 or so, pretty much only the good souls that went to the Middle Kingdom stand a chance for tickets in the away section.

Unfortunately, its going to get increasingly difficult to get on the ladder now. Because even if you do attend Ireland, that's still only 1, and you wont be near tickets in the future unless we get HUGE allocations. #togetherstronger seems to have reached its conclusion. It was always going to happen when we became successful, cant have it all, its success and the demand that comes with it, or back to the days of battling vanuatu for rankings, but could got to any away day you liked.

If the Jocks get more tickets then so should we?

It won't stay at 500, we could probably negotiate 10 times that amount if we needed it. Which we wont.

They had around 6,000 for their last home game back in March . Against Norway, hardly a glamorous tie. Hoping they just won't bother as it's a friendly but there's the Gareth Bale factor, if there's a possibility of him playing then they'll shift a fair few tickets.
Other games they've played there in recent years are against Israel where they sold 7600 and Portugal where they sold out, both were qualifiers. Have to see how many the Scots get but I don't think additional tickets is necessarily a guarantee.
