Had a bit of a struggle with our flights as they just kept rising. We got them in the end for £190 with a stopover on both legs in Rome but straight to Tirana from there.
Seems like an hour bus journey from Tirana to the actual stadium. Absolutely buzzing for this, proper away day.

It's about 45km from Tirana to Elbasan (so 50 min drive). Assuming coaches might be arranged to go to/from Tirana I've gone for a Tirana hotel as Elbasan looks boring. Play it by ear, perhaps. There's always ways to get there! The man who ran our canteen in a previous work was from Albania. I might ask the locals if they know him. Went to Elbasan for the Partizan game in October. Not much to see but with a decent crowd, the city was buzzing. A really nice feel to the city, mediterranean/middle eastern. The main drag leading up to the ground is full of bars/cafes and there are a couple of nice little tucked away places too. Looking forward to returning as only had a couple of hours pre and post-match last time. Staying in the same apartment, I was on my own in a 5 bed and it cost me £9 - cans see the floodlights and all. Now there's 5 of us and it's less than £9 each!

Flights booked from Bristol to Tirana via Rome - £250 on Easy Jet+ Al Italia. Excellent connections 2 hours going out and 4 hours back. Sat, Nov 17, 2018 Dept Bristol 16:15 arrive ROME 19:55 Then Dept Rome at 22:00 and arrive TIRANA at 23:20 Back Dept Tirana 11:40 arrive BRISTOL 18:45 It is about £30 cheaper going out of CARDIFF with Flybe + AlItalia (also via Rome), but the departure out of Cardiff is at 0630! HOT FLIGHT BOOKING TIPIf you are booking a flight with a connection, and you fear you might miss the connection or the airlines are actually different airlines (thus, no airline guarantee) BOOK USING WWW.KIWI.COMThey guarantee your flight connection regardless of which airline combination you use and allow you up to €450 in hotel/food expenses if you need to stay overnight. My brother and his family missed a Ryan Air connection in Milan and he got over 2000 euro worth of taxi/expenses + over night hotel

Anywhere booked accomodation? A quick google seems to show Skanderberg Square as being tourist district with Blloku district more upmarket (aka £££).

Anywhere booked accomodation? A quick google seems to show Skanderberg Square as being tourist district with Blloku district more upmarket (aka £££). Might be best staying a little away from Skanderberg Square, as that is where the main mosque is ;-) I hope to be staying 500m West of there - in simple "rooms" for £12/night - which seems decent enough. My other option is a Boutique Hotel smack bang in the heart of Blloku district for £19/night...

Love the prayers on the speakers - but not when youre hanging from night before! Looks like ill book north of the river west from the square for accommodation. Then short enough walk south to Blloku where most nightlife seems to be.

I intend to go to Denmark, Ireland and Albania. Think £200 is what I’m happy to pay for flights.
There’s no summer holiday this year so three treats towards the end instead.

There is a wizz flight from Luton to Skopje, I’ve used it a few times but Skopje is miles away, there is also an airport at Lake Ohrid but I don’t believe there is a flight from the uk..? You can forget public transport in Macedonia and Albania, it’s not good your probably better off hiring a car! I’ve booked with Wonky Sheep events, a direct flight from Gatwick to Tirana, hotel with breakfast and transportation £375 which I didn’t think was that bad.
