Yes, but not many. All of them will go via Tirana, regardless. Rinas is the airport.
Thank you. Knew it would be you who answered my question!! Very useful, should get me to my flight on time. A pleasure. Just noticed that I gave you today's Airport to Elbasan. This is the reverse trip, and feel free to change the dates on it... Nentor is November ...

Tirana hotels very affordable when I last looked. £25 a night for somewhere nice. Breakfast often included. Good news, mate.

Their return on Wednesday is silly money ... but their Friday return departs at 1130 and is still only £25.

Would have been ideal but brother attending golf event in Dubai until the Sunday afternoon so he needs some family time (about 9 hours by my reckoning)😂😂😂. He’s also back in work on the Friday

Oh how I miss having three types of Khachpuri ;-))))
Most hotel reviews for Tirana seem to suggest that the Albanians have a so-called 'Italian breakfast': that usually means a very wee espresso, a wee orange juice, with possibly a croissant

Not sure how many breakfasts we will actually get up for and eat but it's nice to know it's available ;-)

Is anyone clued up with taxis? Are they booked at the airport? Do you negotiate the fare in advance? Scumbag in Tbilisi took me for double fare in the end.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that you should only take 'official taxi's' they are usually White or Yellow, can't remember which colour. Edit: Found the extract I read: s. Ignore any taxi drivers harassing new ar rivals and take an official yellow airport taxi to the centre for 2,500 lek during the daytime and 3,000 lek between 21:00 and 07:00. Alternatively, hop on the Rinas Express airport bus to Sheshi Skënderbej. Buses leave every hour between 06:00 and 18:00 and tickets cost 250 lek.

Our very cheap apartment has cancelled our stay, I wonder why...
Wouldnt be surprised if they put it up later on in the month at a higher price.
Where is everyone staying in Tirana? I’m looking to re-book in the Blloku area due to the bars and nightlife. Anyone else staying here?

Myself and some others are. I can’t remember the name of the hotel off hand but it wasn’t too expensive.
RE: Cancellation. I would’ve thought most are booked up by now despite tickets not going on sale.

I would’ve thought most are booked up by now despite tickets not going on sale. I thought the same but there are loads available on booking.com. Prices vary from £200 to £700 for 5 of us staying 4 nights. The 4th night is because our return flight is at 5am. Undecided whether to go for the cheaper hotel or go for £500 mark for a 4 star one.

I used to splash out on expensive ones but as I just sleep in the buggers then £25 a night for Albania was sufficient. Paid something daft like £200 for Georgia. Made breakfast once (and didn't spot many other guests.)

Made breakfast once (and didn't spot many other guests.) We usually spend literally nothing for hotels as you mentioned you just end up only sleeping there for a few hours before heading out again. Cheap options in Blloku are mostly sold out got last few rooms in Hotel Piemonte for £10 each per night!

Albania is also a friendly. We’ll take 2000+. Not all nation’s fans are quite as ‘alternative’ as us lot. Even in the dark days there would have been 200 blokes for whom a trip to an Eastern European backwater would have been completely irresistible.

The view from the (totally uncovered) away stand. Bring your raincoat ... and your binoculars ;-)
FSF confirming 2000 tickets.
