I am still going to buy " home " tickets just in case as I have zero faith in the current loyalty system with the FAW , no doubt the game will sell out then we will see the usual " I can't make it due to work etc , ticket for sale " posts appearing on social media !!

I'd be very surprised if you can't get one in the away end. I got Serbia with no loyalty and Georgia with just one. This is a friendly. Convenient Ireland didn't sell out!

Hopefully will yes , I think 2,000 replied to the survey and rumours are we are getting 2,000 tkts . Probably get more closer to the date knowing the FAW , but will keep an eye on sales just in case . Already registered an account on the Albania tkt website .

Albania is also a friendly. We’ll take 2000+. I think we’ll take a lot but not 2000+ Think it was that many to show interest. Anything over 1500+ would be amazing

Why do you have zero faith? The system has always been clear? I can appreciate Denmark was a challenge due to demand but Ireland was open to those with 0 aways and I expect this game will be the same

The issue isn't with the loyalty system it's with the subsequent checking of travel plans etc.

I'd have thought the vast majority who want a ticket for this game will get one assuming we get 2000 tickets.

I totally agree. Pretty sure even one away will get you a ticket, and sales will probably start from 4/11 - as long as we do get 2000 ( as per FSF). As suggested, if there is genuine interest, even no aways could even get a ticket through the FAW - as I can't really see us selling 2000 tickets. I estimate 1600 to 1700 - which would be very impressive.
My rough calculations post ROI ticket sales are: 1500 with 4/11 (or more); 1500 with 3/11 ; 1100 with 2/11 ; 1500 now have 1/11

Denmark and Ireland are two expensive trips. I’m doing ok but have nothing else on besides Dublin this month. Albania will be more reasonable and there’s numerous ways to get there.

100% collection seems excessive. I do it solely to avoid paying the postage.

Like you said two expensive trips which will have knocked a few people out already. Add to that flights are around £200, it's a friendly and it's a month before christmas I just can't see it. Happy to be proved wrong and what an effort that would be from us given all the circumstances. Either way looking forward to Albania, proper trip this.

Albania > Denmark > Ireland here. I'm fortunate enough to be able to do all three but it's solely because I didn't take a summer holiday this year.
I've had to relocate to London professionally (and personally) so things have been up in the air. I'd have made China or America my main trip otherwise.
The Wales fan account I follow on Twitter has expressed caution about cleaning teeth with tap water in Albania. Gum and polo mints it is. Just don't try and come in for a snog...

No worries I only ever clean my teeth with Jack Daniels on away trips anyway

Has anyone ever pulled a local on one of these trips before? Georgians were really conservative but I suspect a Serbian girl was good fun. I only fell in love about ten times in one afternoon.
Our caterers in a previous job were Albanian. The one guy's sister was stunning. Jet black hair and a doll like face.

"Do you speak English? It's my friend... She wants to know what football team that is." "It's a country, mate. Wales." "Where's that?"
I thought I was getting lucky when she approached me in the bar!

Don't know if anyone else saw the post but Corky suggested tahr tickets wouldn't be as cheap as the likes of Serbia and Georgia. He suggested more around £20 mark More than happy to pay that as long as it doesn't rain.

Nah. Can't see the FAW charging anything more than £8, considering the face value is £7 and that the stadium is a 20 minute walk from downtown Elbasan.
They are actually only charging £2 for their friendly v Jordan next week, also in elbasan.

As you said low ticket prices and the fact that it's a friendly mean this would be ideal harvesting conditions. Surely then the FAW would take the steps necessary to offset this. Think Corky and the FSF have already said there will be increased checks, whatever that entails I'm not sure and then subsequent sanctions for people found harvesting which I hope would mean their loyalty points being wiped. Harsh but if they wanna stamp this out they need to be severe with the punishments.

I hope you are right but I'm not sure what these increased checks can possibly involve that are both fair and achieveable given the resources the FAW have. Hopefully they will come up with something but I'm not expecting it to be anything more than a token effort unfortunately. Happy to be proved wrong!

What are corky thoughts on this? Personally, I feel that announcing in advance that a random 10% of fans will need to collect the tickets in person, on match day. I appreciate some fans fly in on match day, but an early announcement - and perhaps an ongoing practice - will encourage people to ensure arrival at least 4 or 5 hours prior to ko. For those that paid in advance for delivery - offer a refund.

For those that paid in advance for delivery - offer a refund. IMO it's too late, and unfair, on people who have already booked to now impose a 10% collect in person to the 200 selected people. It's changing the rules after purchase. Because for the process to be done correctly, every one of those 200 should then be made - without exception - to collect in Albania. And I just don't see that happening. However, before the draw on the 2 Dec, the FAW could post guidance in advance on eticketing along the lines of "All future away games may be subject to compulsory collection at the away venue." This would mean that any future complaints along the line of "I only arrive an hour before kick off so they need to be sent to my house in Wales"... would be tough. Even if the FAW then decide that collection at the away venue isn't necessary, at least they'll always have that option.

Any Collection should also be at the ground instead of some random Hotel, I wasted hours in Lyon when collecting from the stadium would have been so much easier. This would also negate the argument for those that arrive a couple of hours before kick off.
