So Neco not playing and you suggest he needs to move , as for average players in his position one is a world cup winner who i admit did not play very well last night 2 of the others are full internationals which one has been team captain. Neco will be used for a limited time upto Christmas as his time will come when Aurier and Aina will be away upto 8 weeks with the African Nations in Jan & Feb. Will you be saying the same thing if Brennan is not a regular starter at Spurs ?You're comparing Forest to Spurs? Completely different sized clubs. There's a big difference here. So Neco is only likely to play for 8 weeks this season when Aurier and Aina are away? That's not enough for a player of his ability, and you have to question why the club spent 17m on him, but yet have signed like 4/5 extra players in his position who seemed to have overtaken him. Poor financial decisions.....

Neco will get game time before the African Nations but will be used in rotation due to the possible 8 weeks where he might have to play every game. He was not our first choice but needed a right back as Spence decided to go to Spurs and Cooper had known him from his Liverpool days. He lost his place due to form and Aurier came in who was amongst our best players last season. He then had the misfortune to be kicked in the head by Brennan when he was playing his best football of the season. Would not surprise me if he starts on Saturday against Man City if Aurier is not fit but will be in squad.

Forest's transfer policy of throw shit at the wall and something's bound to stick kept them up last season but it isn't sustainable
I also think that means it's not the best place to be for a developing player. Better for Neco to move out. I want to see him have a season in the Championship, at the top end of the league, and see him dominate like we're seeing with DJ, Ampadu & Rodon now
I'd rather a player at the top of the Championship in a team that's mostly on top than in a low end Premier League team where they are losing more often than not and up against it

i agree about the transfer policy last season but i think it has been better and more selective this season. i dont class Neco as a developing player as he has played nearly 30 internationals if he was only 19 or 20 with no games behind him yes he would be a developing player. I would have thought that playing at the highest possible level should be every players ambition even if it maybe for a side which does not dominate games. i would have thought playing for Forest would be closer to playing for Wales than say if he was at a Burnley last season as i dont see Wales being able to dominate top international sides not for a long while yet.

Cooper invests in many players but not Neco!
A player like Neco just needs a manager behind him but Cooper despite backing many other players has really messed him around.
He needs to move on as he need regular game time to develop towards his potential.

Why should Cooper leave - they're not doing too badly, are they?

Not in Forests’ squad today again, even with a few injuries!
Is he injured?

Not in Forests’ squad today again, even with a few injuries! Is he injured? He must be. Only other explanation would be he's fallen out with Cooper, and we've got no reason to believe that

Has he fallen out with Cooper like you suggested? Pretty shite and concerning situation,

Cooper is not a great support for Welsh football is he.
Hope Neco moves on as he is wasting months of development there

Its not Coopers job to support Wales but your statement could not be further from the truth, Brennan played in all of Coopers game in the Championship and Premier League and Neco played in over 80% of games last season. Cooper seems to have built up a very anti popular view on here. Is it because of his success with England how come you are not calling out the managers of the likes of James and Moore and many others who have not given your players game time.

It's not Cooper's job to develop Welsh talent.
If Neco isn't being played it's because Cooper, rightly or wrongly, doesn't think he's good enough.
It's the same nonsense on here as when Klopp wasn't playing Joe Allen enough. Look how that turned out.

i dont think its because Neco is not good enough a few rumours going around yesterday that possibly Neco and Cooper have fallen out. The team selection seemed very strange yesterday that he picked a centre half to play full back and Toffolo who is not as good a player as Neco in the squad ahead of him. Will be interesting to see the squad on Saturday if Aina is still out injured and Niakhate is suspended. Not heard that Neco is injured from Forest and Page is known to be vocal over injuries leading up to a squad announcement

Anyway, back to normal, get Cooper out, he loves the English and hates the Welsh, what a Dic Sion Dafydd!

Thanks for that just seems strange that it seems to have come from the player as i cant recall Cooper saying anything about it in his meetings with the press. Maybe he did say he was injured as sometimes you only seem to get edited versions on tv & radio.

He was in the squad or played up until the chelsea game which was the game before the international break. Its since his return from Wales he has not been part of any squad.

He really shouldn't have turned up for Forest training in an 'I love Robert Page' t-shirt.

I don't know what's going on at the moment but whenever I've seen Neco play recently he's not looked as good as he has in the past. He didn't look out of place away to AC Milan in the Champions League, he was brilliant against Belarus and Belgium, the Belgium game in particular he was absolutely fantastic at times. He had the loan move to Fulham and took it by storm, he was doing some crazy things which had me saying that I genuinely believed that he was one of the most promising young full backs in World football. Then I watch him against Latvia and although he was decent enough, against pretty poor opposition, it was nothing like the Neco that took it to the Belgians and expressed himself in a way that few Welsh players ever have in such a game. I hope he finds his way again because it would be terrible to see his career go on the slide when it once showed enormous promise.

No one gives a damn about Cooper's success with England. He's not popular on here because of how he handled the Brennan Johnson injury incident during an important camp for us. We'd expect better from a Welsh manager in that situation Other managers have been called out on here in the past. For example, Klopp was criticised for not playing Allen, Neco & Woodburn, some calling him anti-Welsh - something that I and many other disagreed with. But the point is that it's nothing to do with the fact he managed an England youth team People rightly or wrongly don't like how he handled one of our best players, which prevented him from representing our country, I think it's understandable that some would be annoyed at that behaviour given he himself is Welsh

I hope he finds his way again because it would be terrible to see his career go on the slide when it once showed enormous promise. He went from playing in a dominant team, getting lots of the ball, being on top, being confident, to joining a team at the bottom end of the league that concedes a lot of possession and is generally up against it He shone at Fulham in the Championship because they were a dominant team there. I'd wager that leaving Forest for a top Championship club would see an uptick in his form and confidence. A lot of our players are in that category where they are just about good enough for low half PL, but perform better and more regularly when playing at the top end of the Championship. Wilson, Rodon, DJ, Mepham, Moore, and Neco all fit in that category imo

In our squad. We can only assume that something very odd is going on at Forest for him to have been dropped completely.
