Leeds is the perfect fit for him, Farke would absolutely love him like he did Max Aarons at Norwich. Neco's swashbuckling style in front of those fans as Leeds create a "mini Wales", it's the stuff dreams are made of. Leeds are still interested in Neco, but the appointment of Nuno has complicated matters, and they are also interested in Connor Roberts. (Phil Hay, The Athletic & Square Ball Podcast).

Anyone notice how supremely confident Neco was going up for his penalty? I noticed the Polish guy who'd just scored shouted something across on his way back as Neco was walking towards the spot (presumably to put him off). Neco was having none of it, and had a go back. He then takes the ball, does some kick-ups while waiting for the ref as though he was in the park, and took it really well. If that didn't phase him at all, I think he should be one of the primary contenders as our main penalty taker going forward.

I think Szczęsny also tried to put him off by pointing to where he should aim. Neco then put it exactly in that spot having sent him the wrong way. To be honest, our penalties were far better than I thought they were going to be.

Poland usually buckle under pressure - I was stunned they were as good as they were
If you told me we'd nail our first four penalties against them I would be sure we'd have won the match. Unbelievable - you think of the melt downs top class international teams has had in the past - especially the likes of the Netherlands, while England endured so many heartbreaking moments. James' penalty was not great but at least he did not miss the target like many top players have. What was it England vs Italy - was it 3 misses in a row and 1 or 2 hit the post or missed the target.
Hope Dan does not dwell on it. Its a game at the end of the day even if it floors us all for a day or so!

I love Neco, but he needs to play right back.
He didn’t go outside his man once on Tuesday, the better defenders know he’s cutting inside.
RND’s injury is a costly one.

I think he'd be a huge hit in Serie A and in the Champions League for them.

Done his job at Forest if Atalanta offer 25m I think we will take it. He has improved but not sure how he fits into our system going forward and agree I think he would be a massive hit in Italy. I see him more as a midfield player going forward as still sometimes struggled in one on one situations and still seems to ball watch on occasions and gets caught out by players running in behind.

He did start yesterday. Looks like him, Burns and Brennan will be the Welsh top flight starters to begin the season

I know he's not going anywhere, but it's a shame he's not playing more regularly. Quite a few Forest fans say he's unlucky not to be a starter. Maybe he does need a move in January? He's good enough for the PL, and too good to sit on the bench every game.
He's probably my fave player in the squad at the moment, and hasn't reached his full potential imo.

Difficult season for Neco as it is hard to change our back four at present. As he played anywhere other than a full back or wing back as he could be a possible option to play in place of Elanga who is not cutting it at the moment

As he played anywhere other than a full back or wing back as he could be a possible option to play in place of Elanga who is not cutting it at the moment Has he played further up the pitch at all this season? He came on against CP, was that instead of Elanga or Moreno? I noticed Morato came on as well, and he's a LB. Would it be fair to say he should probably move (probably on loan) to get a starting place? He's too good to be a back up, and having read a bit on the Forest forum, Moreira seems to be highly rated - so he should be sufficient back up for the match day squad.

Moreira is an exciting talent but think he may go out on loan in jan. Neco is such a valuable member of the squad so I can't see him leaving at the moment and in all the games he has contributed to our good results. He seems to understand that at the moment game time is going to be short but we have suffered some serious injuries already and you never know what May happen during the season.
