More of the same from him - he was ok but he's clearly not as good as our other options. He gets beaten too easily too often. Him and mepham both looked shaky when they ran at us, I think Ash would be a far greater option on tuesday.

I think they both looked very decent, even though i felt like Ash should start.

I thought that was his best game for us, and has put himself in contention to start against Hungary as he had the better game of the two, but both of them are going to benefit a lot more from having the experience of Ashley Williams next to them. I think Williams will come in for a big ninety against Hungary, maybe Giggs didn't feel he had him to play two games in three days at 35.

He was Radyr comp boy My school (Llanishen High) and his school always ended up in the finals of all competitions as we were both the best two schools in Cardiff at football for our age group. Lockyer was always playing CM and running the game, so tough to get the ball off him as he did the basics so well. I'm pretty sure we lost every final we played against them!

Was looking forward to seeing both Toms tonight ... but the other one has already picked up TEN YELLOWS and is out for two games ;-( only played 22 games, so that is quite poor...

Lockyer v Cabango on Sky now.
Matthews v Roberts on the undercard.

Lockyer v Cabango on Sky now. Matthews v Roberts on the undercard. Both Matthews and Roberts were excellent tonight. Matthews is putting himself into contention if he stays fit. Lockyer is miles better than Cabango at the moment. Ben looks comfortable when he has time but looks scared stiff under pressure.

Looks like young Tom and our Hal are not best of mates ... almost came to blows ... twice!
They are both having a decent first half, but our Adam was squarely responsible for the goal,

3 clean sheets in a row since the break for Tom. Our best performing defender?

Young Tom is having a mare and squarely at fault for both first-half goals v Wigan. All throughout the game, he just couldn't live with Kieffer.
Our Kieffer had the "assist" for the first goal (with a shot that was bravely saved, but spilled). Adam Matthews is extremely effective - really impressed me on the last 3 or 4 times when I saw him this Summer. A fantastic cross-field diagonal for the first and another long cross field that brought about the second in extra time. Adam also has a very decent long throw on him.
Hopefully that one point will make the difference, as it will be a sheer travesty if Charlton get relegated

He will be 26 this year He is not going to get much better He is not tall, strong, quick, athletic, composed or particularly intelligent in football terms He played to the best of his ability for us - so we are all grateful BUT lets hope Rodon, Mepham and Ampadu get over their injury problems before next year's Euros
A critical game for Charlton at the bottom of the Championship and his mistakes almost lead to a defeat which could have pushed them close to relegation. Not encouraging!

looks as if tom will leave charlton on a free due to the relegation clause in his contract. seeing on twitter that west ham are interested and an article saying blackburn are aswell.

Would be quite stunned to see him secure a starting spot at any Premier League club. Think he does deserve an opportunity at a stable Championship side though

Think he does deserve an opportunity at a stable Championship side though He won't start, but I think we'll see more of these moves as COVID & Brexit impact football going forward. The bigger clubs won't want to part with much cash and will find it harder to grab some Spaniard unless they're an absolute game-changer. Lockyer on a free is a zero-risk option, and they'll make some profit on him if they sell him on.

Obviously local as well so won't have to adapt to new surroundings too much. Ironically, I do think it would make it more difficult for him to get in our squad though. He made it in due to being one of the only defenders to be getting consistent game time - something he likely won't get there. Moyes is a decent developmental coach so we'll see what happens if the move does materialise

I've always wondered why Cardiff haven't gone back for him though.

west ham would be great for him, would easily get a couple games in the prem as west ham’s defensive options aren’t the best. from what i can see he’d have balbuena, ogbonna ahead of him, diop will most likely leave in the summer i think. but anyway premier league facilities and plenty of experience around him to learn from, would be a great move for him i think.

Lockyer in the Premier League? Have people been smoking of something? A defender that lets his team down twice in the championship in their most important game of the season
Its fantasy

Absolutely no risk if you put him on in the league cup.

There's no chance he'll go to West Ham, no chance. If he's got a clause in his contract, then there's a good chance he'll get a mid-table/bottom half Championship move.

He'd probably get paid more in the Championship.
