Hiya boya.Where are the ticketless watching the game in Budapest? Thousands over here but I've noticed hardly any bars with teles.

Am very jealous as I am not out in Budapest which is a great city, but I had a quick look on line for you. A quick google brought up Champs, John Bull, Jack Doyle and Becketts, however the latter received some unfavourable comments regarding service and food. It suggested you may need to book a table in Champs.

Remember that we are in the Southern end of the Stadium. SECTOR E gate 4. Pass the SKY BOX gates 6/5 via Saint Laszlo Hospital, as you head East along Albert Florian Ut.

The regular metro station - Nepliget - has been out of service since April, and will remain that way for at least a year! Metro line 3 Eastern terminus is now Nagyvárad tér M. It's about 600m walk to the stadium from there.
Nagyvárad tér M is also where the cheaper 200E airport bus terminates.
Tram 1 is very useful - as it goes very near to the Welsh / Away area, along Albert Florian ut.

Bit of a contrast to the call to arms that is the Red Wall though, I'd have thought t(h)rash metal would have been more in keeping with that theme! 😀

Provably one of the best Stadiums I've ever been to. Row 1 is about 5 metres from the pitch. Not quite sure that it's good for our expansive style of play... but makes a lovely change from that God awful Osijek :+(

Well done all the fans that have travelled i think we have got to play a centre forward in all the future games from the start. I enjoyed the weather in budepest.

Another late response from me, same excuse as my Croatia post earlier, sorry!
Where we were standing we couldn't see half of the goal to the far corner flag, until some fans started taking people's flags off the fence between us and the empty stand beside us (due to the ban on home supporters).
We were fairly late getting there, but no problems getting in, the stewards checked passport against ticket thoroughly as promised, didn't witness anyone getting turned away, but there did seem to be quite a few hanging around outside our gate(s), there were massive queues at the bar, so did without a beer!!!
Flag hung up at the back of the stand out of sight!
Budapest as a city 10/10

I thought the Croatians were far more friendly than the Hungarians. Budapest was beautiful but wouldnt rush back there because of the lack of any welcome from the hosts. Or was it just me🙈

I found them fine until I got to the big arcade like area in the Jewish district, think it was called Godzu?
They were obviously fed up of pissed up students and with football fans on top I’m not surprised their patience wore thin!
We started in apartment and the host was great. Taxi drivers were very friendly as well as staff in bars and restaurants and the general public.
Drugs are a big issue there mind. Literally a dealer on most street corners in Jewish district
