Extra 160 tickets available for Wales fans. So I make that 1260 tickets but only 1240 in stages 1 and 2. Great work by the FAW and they should be applauded. The additional 160 are in the same corner flag away area and priced at £15. They are the three empty end-of-row seats that were kept for segregation.

They always get stick in the build-up when people miss out (and people are still missing out) but they really have done the best possible again. Same with the Croatia game. The silence was the most frustrating thing but it now looks like we were in danger of getting less than 5% or no fans at all due to safety fears. That delay and work has now ensured a safer stadium (still wouldn't call it safe) and more than 5% of the stadium. |

I'm not encouraging the consumption of alcohol ... but there is a locally recommended Élesztő which has 25 Hungarian craft beers on tap! Claims to be the very first craft beer bar in Eastern Europe ...
Its on the same street as the Holocaust Memorial Center - which is said to be an extremely informative and moving experience.
Most beers cost between 350 fl. (small) to 750 fl. (large) - that's £1-£2 ... Its exactly half way between The Great Synagogue and the Stadium - 2km each way... Élesztő, Budapest, Tűzoltó u. 22, 1094 Hungary
OPEN FROM 3PM ONWARDS
Just an update re: Eleszto Bar.
A couple of locals on Trip Advisor have assured me that no self-respecting local football fans will bother going there. It is far too 'hip' and it doesn't have TV screens.
All the more reason to make it a home base for us ;-)

I don't want to scare monger and apologies for those that have a weak heart. Make of it what you will, but when logging onto the FAW tickets (11.30am) it allows me to put FIVE TICKETS in my basket, but no more. Normally, I would be allowed up to nine (on top of my own).
For those in stage 3, please be quick - GOD'S SPEED ... or REFRESH MONKEY (Chrome) or RELOAD-EVERY (FireFox)

Just got mine too. Refreshing the page every few seconds from 12:57, in at 1pm on the dot and on confirmation page by 1:02pm. There was no need for the worry beforehand! Roll on Budapest.

My stage 2 ticket the other week went through 45 minutes after purchasing opened. Keep trying for half hour at least. |

Just got mine, no option for delivery though? I wasn’t given a delivery option either. Also I usually go with my wife but she couldn’t make this game due to work commitments but on the second page it asked me to put in name, dob and place of birth to be printed on ticket, so I put my friend that I’m going with but do you think this will cause a problem? Some would call this harvesting. My understanding in Hungary is that it’s law that your is matches the name on the ticket. Chelsea fans had to show their passports. |
