I am not entirely sure what the 'official' stance is once you actually have obtained an Azeri visa. The only proviso there was a question asking if you have been to Nagorni Kharabah...
The only two countries I have ever visited that asked me if I mind a stamp in my passport were Israel and Armenia...
On BBC London news tonight there was a report and interview with Arsenal fans who have been refused a visa to go to the match because they are British but of Armenian descent. I am not surprised ;-( UEFA should punish the Azeries and give the Euro 2020 hosting to Yerevan ;-))

Interesting to read UEFA excuse for not allowing more than 6,000 fans from both Arsenal & Chelsea to attend the Europa Cup Final in a stadium that is hosting 2020 Finals games next year , will the same rules apply ? I noticed the Baku F1 GP race managed OK though !!

Just booked my return flight for this. £260. What airline and where from 4 different airlines. Involved going via Budapest and coming back via Istanbul. Just under 24 hours in Istanbul. Goes from Stansted, back to Manchester.

Just booked my return flight for this. £260. What airline and where from We're going Pegasus and Buta from Stansted via Istanbul. 4 hour wait on the way over, 2 on the way back. Flight out at a quarter to midnight so you probably get to work that day. Booked when the flights first came out for about £ 160 all in. Last time I looked they were up to £ 225.

The new Baku stadium looks great and all but the fans are further from the pitch than at West Ham’s ground.
Are we definitely playing there?

They are home to Hungary at the Bakcell too on the 8th June . From messages off the Azeri FA there should be a confirmed decision shortly after this match. The impression they are giving is if all preparations were satisfactory and achieved last night at the main stadium then we should be there, cross fingers.

I am attempting to find out at which stadium the Azerbaijan v Croatia match will be played in September.By following UEFA rules and guidelines this should have been announced by now.I'm interested as more than likely we will be at the same stadium in November. Can't find any confirmed details anywhere?

The Wiki site has both that game and our game listed as their Olympic Stadium. Not sure how reliable that is.

Anyone have any info on the visa situation or has done it themselves? How much is it? How long before can we apply? Is it anything like the China visa, or is it all online, instead of sending via post? Thanks Jord

There's plenty of site willing to charge you substantially more but they're fronts so don't be conned. I go in via the UK.GOV but its $ 20, you shouldn't be paying more. It last 90 days so I would wait until your well into September. Its done in 3 days but don't leave it that late. Its all online including reprints if you lose it apparently

If you don't want the slog through Georgia you could come back via Istanbul into Stansted on the Monday with Buta and Pegasus for about £ 90. Leave Baku at 12.35 and arrive in Stansted 16.55. Hour and half in Istanbul. Buta have now got 2 flights per day into Baku. It opens more options but unfortunately the extra outward one also leaves before the first flight arrives from the UK. We're going overnight on the Wednesday leaving at 23.45 arriving in Baku at 14.30 on the Thursday. That's now about £ 170.

That's OK. They can have 8k (as the stadium name suggests ... 8KM Stadionu - Baku) and we will make do with only 3k ;#)

Hopefully as most of the recent matches at the Backcell had low attendances we receive more than tan 5% and everybody gets a ticket.
