Found an alternative luckily, I just need to get on the phone about my other flight (the one to Budapest) and try to move it around.
Still costing us more, but I wouldn't want to miss it for the world.

Each time they were happy to fully refund the (now non) connecting flight as well as the one that was cancelled.
They also give the option of 120% refund in credit as well as a straight forward 100% refund.

I'll try that with them then, thanks for that.

Just googled the attendances regarding the last 3 matches at the Backcell arena -
v Croatia (9,150) v Slovakia (8,220) v Lithuania (3,200) friendly.
Looking at the highlights of the Croatia match and the crowd shots, it did appear the Croats had a fairly decent away allocation.

Watching Croatia game it looked like the away section could be extended around the corner up that 1 side too if we needed it , guessing about 500 Croatia fans behind the goal ?

Just got home from work and had an other peek, hopefully they give us the whole of that end along with some along the sides.

Anyone found a decent translation site/app with Azeri pronunciation on it?
There are loads of sites out there but I can't find one where you can listen to the translation.
Nice to be able to order a couple of beers and say thank you etc in the local lingo, even if they speak good English.

As the match is now less than 60 days away, does anyone know if it has been officially confirmed as the Bakcel Arena?

All in all it's worked out somewhere between £250-300 return, baggage included. That's with a flight with ryanair that's gone unused.

By considering that the tickets for the Slovakia game went on sale 2 months prior the match date.
Can anyone confirm when the allocation will be officially announced along with the process for ticket purchase criteria for this match in Baku.
I presume the FAW ticket office have had a few headaches this week considering distribution of the forthcoming home matches along with UEFA's initial shambolic decision regarding the Slovakia away match, which thankfully is now resolved.
As the Slovakia away match is on October 10th and Wales fans will start travelling day(s) prior on the whole, it's not leaving much of a window regarding arrangements for this match on November 16th in comparison.
Can anyone shed any light on this regarding their FAW contacts etc.

I know its not the same thing, but everyone over the age of 30 will speak fluent Russian and those under 25 that for some reason didn't study Russian as a second language, would have studied English.
Worked perfectly in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia ;-)

100% ticket collection it is then 1200 tickets too. Should be plenty for everyone as there won't be any harvesting.

Only difference in Belgrade was their FA were not happy to wait until match day, and Lucy needed to return 200 tickets back to them 2 days ahead of the match

It will be very interesting to see how many sell in stage 1.
How many did we take on our previous visits to Baku?
I'm in stage 1 but the Mrs is in stage 4, tempted to wait til stage 4 for both of us but could end up missing out.

I suspect you’ll both get one OK. It’s not the most convenient trip.

I'm not so sure. There's 8 in our group half of whom haven't gone away since the euro's. A lot booked up early thinking this was the only game they were guaranteed a ticket for.

I am in stage 5 and feel fairly confident.I can only comment based on noises that I am picking up by chatting to various stage1/2ers up here in North Wales (and there are many) but there seem to be a significant lesser amount travelling to this match in comparison to the earlier away matches.Reasons seem to be 'all spent up' after the previous way's along with visited Baku previously so therefore ticked of the away match bucket list already.Length of travel time appears to be another factor. There are 1,200 Red Wall members eligible in stage 1 and 2,I predict if by Wednesday that a figure of 40% ticket sales or less has been achieved then this go all the way to stage 10.
