Just jumped on this one guys to complete four out of four aways this campaign (never planned to go but don't want to miss) Saw an early post about visas but can someone please advise best/cheapest route for this. Loads on Google and clearly loads taking the piss. Thanks I'm pretty sure I used this one....but don't pay more than $23ish!! evisa.gov.az/en/

Just did the visa. Scan your passport and have the address of your hotel ready and it takes about 10 minutes. Me and my wife went to Russia in August. It must have taken the best part of a day to get the visa sorted for that.

Is there ticket collection in place for this? Ticket Collection In order to prevent supporters from purchasing tickets without intending to travel, or to pass on to others, all tickets for this match must be picked up from the FAW representatives in Baku. Each ticketholder will be required to show photo ID when collecting their tickets. Ticket collections will take place from a central location in Baku on Friday 15th November, and on matchday. Exact locations and times will be emailed to lead applicants once confirmed. Supporters who fail to collect their tickets will have their membership reviewed, which could lead to them being temporarily banned from purchasing away match tickets, and having previous booking history permanently removed from their account.

Brilliant. My brother's travelling for this one and only has one away under his belt. It might not be enough but this gives him a shot.

I was surprised they hadn't included the upcoming match against Slovakia as a recent away but it was explained to me that people can still return tickets so it can't be classed as an attendance yet. That makes sense.
If results don't go our way then Azerbaijan could be a dead rubber. Tickets tend to pop up!

I'd rather be watching from a bar in Baku than be in the stadium for a dead rubber. In the end the Visa was a doddle. 10 minutes sunday evening, arrived yesterday morning

Does anyone know the price of a match ticket without the bus transfer? I'm staying with a friend over there so will be travelling direct to the match with him so don't need a bus ticket.

easiest (efficient) way of getting there from North Wales? thanks Bit of a trek whatever way you choose. If money is no object then you can get a train to Manchester Airport, then it's a return flight Manchester to Baku for £418 on Skyscanner. Departs Manchester at 9:25, tight hour and a half changeover in Frankfurt then onto Baku which gets you in to Baku for 21:20 local time. Could also do Manchester leaving at 16:40, 2 and half hour change in Istanbul then into Baku for 06:05 local time. We're doing London to Baku from North Wales as it's just the cheapest option but there's more efficient ways from Manchester if you're willing to shell out a bit more.

There's a party of 6 of us - combination of North and South. At the time of booking there seemed to be so much more choice of flights from London based airports, we are going from Gatwick on the Thursday, 3 hour change in Kiev ,then on to Baku ,10 hours in total via Ukrainian airlines.Did compare against Manchester and Birmingham but there was much fewer choice of flights along with price difference.

Any news on how the 1st stage of the sales went today Got a message around 4ish, about 400 sold at that point. I realise the stage window doesn't close till 9am in the morning but I presume the vast majority have been purchased. Stage 2,3 and 4 tomorrow with much smaller window openings and lesser volume of numbers who can make ticket purchases - also the % applying tends to decrease stage by stage for most away matches. Let's see what tomorrow brings us.

Ticket sales up now to row 4 seat 57. Think that there are 100ish seats in a row, as I did see seat 97 available earlier.
Thus, around about 450 sold, considering VIP tickets (only £2 extra!) - 100 sold
Sounds about right, considering the China Cup / Los Angeles regulars etc.

Did they sell tickets in Area 4A(1) before Area 4A(2)? I didn't look at tickets yesterday(Monday) until about half 5 by which time it was up to Area 4A(2) row 3, seat 60.
I got ours in stage 4 today about 3:15, by which time it had only got to row 6, with seats in the 90's. Soon after it was in row 7 Seat 59. Photos I've seen of the stadium seem to show 9 rows of seats in both upper and lower tiers.
