Does anyone know the location of the bus Transport to and from the match? With a late return want to ensure that my hotel is reasonably close.

I'll be straight to a bar to watch the defining ( hopefully ) game of this group, Croatia v Slovakia. No idea where the buses go from / to but seems a pretty small centre to me.

Passage Boutique Hotel here. Three nights. They've offered airport pick up too for what seems a reasonable sum. We have just booked there now

Twin Castle Boutique in old town. Supposed to pay on arrival, they took full amount in July and again last month, not replying to messages via hotels.com or email! After lots of messages to starling bank and hotels.com got second payment refunded today by mastercard.

Might be an idea to change £50 into local currency at the airport, but I have always tried to use contactless payments where possible.

manulike might know more, but has the visa price gone up for Turkey? On the UK Government website it advises the price is $20, but on the official Turkey government site it's now telling me it's $35? Seems odd.

Seems odd. Can't help there. Personally, I wouldn't go to Turkey, if you paid me ... #Love.Kyiv ;-))

Anyone know which bank's atms have the lowest fees, I use Starling they don't charge to use their card overseas. I remember in Albania some banks charged more to use their atms than others

Yes. Albania was quite unusual in that sense, although a couple of banks there did allow free withdrawels.
Download an App called MasterCard Nearby - even for those that don't have Mastercard, it is useful. One of the FILTER settings there is for "No Access Charge" - not always correct, but usually tends to be spot on with the banks that don't charge (but sometimes doesn't show a specific branch, despite it actually not charging)...
The main banks that seem not to charge fees are Pasha Bank, Expressbank and Azer Turk Bank

I'm changing small quantities of Euros and changing what I need when I need it. It's worked well before.
The country seems very affordable so 30 to 40 Euros per day is more than enough. They also have Uber so you don't need to learn the taxi etiquette either!

We did a couple of nights in Baku before our horror match in Georgia last week.
Happy to answer any questions you have (If i can)
Baku is a nice spot, cheap and the people were bang on. You'll definitely enjoy it as an away trip.

Seems odd. $35 is now the correct price of a Turkish Visa. Went us from $20 last week. Go on the Marmaris TripAdvisor forum for further info.

Strange that they hadn't updated the government site with that vital info!

Also got my Azerbaijan visa back today so I am all set for the trip. 3 weeks and counting.

Anyone travelling via Moscow to Baku? Wondering if a transit visa is required & any other tips I am on the Wednesday, with an overnight in Moscow airport (SVO). No visa required if you are in transit and there are a few hotel options in the airport (the transit side) if you have a long overnight (as I do). Im booked in the "Vozdushny Express" hotel in terminal "E", which is where the Baku flight leaves from, though it wasn't particularly cheap. Here's to a good trip!

Other than the coaches provided as part of the ticket price what would be the best way to get to the stadium early?
Metro looks good to Neftcilar?

We have an allocation of approximately 1,200 tickets for Wales fans (1,000 in the main Wales end, plus a smaller allocation of category 1 tickets). Tickets in the Wales end are priced at £8, with category 1 tickets priced at £10. These tickets include return bus travel between Baku city centre and the stadium. The loyalty system will be implemented for this match and the following ticket sales procedure will apply. Members must meet all the criteria to be eligible.

Anyone else having trouble loading a picture of their passport in the visa application? Probably just me! Had the same problem when applying on my laptop, so tried it on my phone and it loaded first time.
