Just reading on Twitter that Terry’s mother from Cardiff, Grandmother from Cardiff and Grandad from Merthyr Tydfil. That’s very strong Welsh roots. That’s legitimate in my book. No granny rule on this one. Yes got the Scottish accent but I’ll take it

Just noticed this in the local Grimsby paper about Taylor:
"The midfielder was on international duty with fellow Grimsby Town midfielder Harry Clifton on Friday, and picked up his first cap as Paul Bodin’s Wales Under-21s were beaten 1-0 in Bosnia and Herzegovina."
Erm...Harry Clifton anyone?
He played the full 90' right next to Taylor, they were the central midfield pairing all night. I've never heard of/noticed him before!

Recalled by Wolves from his loan spell. Believe to have fallen out of favour and not in Paul Hurst's plans.

Played 14 games for them, so decent experience & best for him to go back if he's not in the new manager's plans. A loan to Newport to replace Brandon Cooper for the rest of the season would be great, but that's unlikely I guess

Now sure how much of it is down to him, but Burton’s fortunes have turned around remarkably since he signed for them.

Now sure how much of it is down to him, but Burton’s fortunes have turned around remarkably since he signed for them. Jimmy Floyd’s doing a superb job- thought they’d be nailed on for relegation. Terry made his full debut yesterday playing ‘90 mins in a 3-0, so hopefully that bodes well for some more starts for him.

I thought Hasselbaink was crazy to go there, and thought it was a lost cause. 30 points from 13 games is phenomenal, especially considering they got 10 points from their first 20. Few more wins and they'll be safe, good to see Terry getting games at L1 level.

Expecting Taylor to work his way back up the pyramid eventually. Must have some quality for Nuno to have played him in a senior game for Wolves

Playing fairly regualrly for Burton Albion, one to keep an eye on for next season for sure. Thought they were goners when he signed in January as per my post above. Well and truly ate my words!

Worth noting Terry Taylor’s progressing very well at Burton. Nice to have a holding midfielder coming through rather than another attacking one!

Worth noting Terry Taylor’s progressing very well at Burton. Nice to have a holding midfielder coming through rather than another attacking one! We do need more defensive minded players and had always hoped Taylor would kick on. I can see Burton are in the relegation zone though - have you been watching much of Taylor? If so what's his progression been like?

Any move to the 2nd tier would be great at this stage in his career with the obvious lack of depth we have in his position. Really hope something comes of this.

It's great news for us if he does. He's one of the few youngsters in our talent pool to have 100 senior appearances at his age. He's been very brave in leaving a Premier League club to play at Burton, but it seems to have paid off. I think the future is bright for him, and that he will end up back in the top flight eventually. This comes at a perfect time for us, as we need more midfielders
From what I understand, he's more.of the Ampadu mould, but even still it would be a good option to have him and Ampadu if we want to keep a game tight, or his presence could free up Ampadu to play at the back

Would be great if it comes off.
Seen a few of our lads linked to moves up the pyramid (RND, Regan Poole) only a good thing. Here's hoping more to follow suit!

Potentially, depends on how we want go about it. If the squad selection is anything to go by from the World Cup
I would say Ampadu, Levitt, Morrell and Ramsey are definitely nailed on centre mids at the moment. Matt Smith not been starting for a poor MK Dons side this season, Joe Allen potentially an old guard that might be moved on for more energy and athleticism as Page alluded too but may not just yet but who knows? And then Jordan James might get selected ahead of him too.
At the end of the day you never use the full 23/26 players available we used 18 different players at the world cup, whatever ranking of personnel of the squad the remaining 5 to 8 places is much of a muchness and there's really not much in it between those last places and those that missed out in terms of quality. I think that's an opportunity to take a closer look at some players. Potentially against the likes of Latvia or just what they're like in training and around the squad of which that could be Terry Taylor, Aaron Collins, Jason Koumas or Michael Crowe!!

It has helped with recruitment having 2 icons in the Wales setup in Bale (playing still but only just) and Giggs (now absent of course). You can see that from the one line comment made by Terry Taylor in the interview below www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50465291

For those who can't be bothered watching the video they commented that Taylor is standing out despite being in a League One relegation battle, and clubs from divisions above are looking at him
He stands out for his delivery from set-pieces which has lead to several goals this season for Burton
They commented that he is very much a stats darling. He's 1st at Burton for interceptions, ball recoveries, and passes completed. Given Burton play a very direct style, he's understandably got a lower % pass completion, but they feel he could do really well in a possession based team based on his technical ability
He's a big fan favourite at Burton, and their fans want to keep hold of him, but this is felt to be unlikely with his contract running out in the summer

I’d call him up. A promising player in a position of need too. Sounds like a technical destroyer a but like Ampadu. More deserved than Matt Smith and perhaps even JJ at this point in time too.
May as well see what he’s like- if only in training. He’s 2001 so it’s not like we’re taking from our u21 pool either.
Plus to have a non-English bred dual national in the squad is so cool!
