I would presume he is keeping his "best" players injury free for the games that matter, that's certainly what I would do.

Look like the academy is not the only thing that’s had their funding cut at the swans. That pitch is looking shocking! Patches everywhere. Let’s hope for no injuries because the swans can’t keep an elite pitch.

Pitch looks a bit worn do they play rugby at that ground? I thought it looks rough as well, I don't think they play rugby on it atm, but could be wrong.

Levitt completely skinned by McKennie there, nearly leading to a USA chance. I really don't see what Giggs sees.

Sorry but Ward ball distribution is shocking, he continually gives the ball back to the yanks.

Our passing is absolutely non-existant. Matondo is the only player looking like producing something.

Levitt is diabolical isn't he?
Hate to be so negative about one of our own but the lad is nowhere near ready for this.

I've been saying it every bloody match, I know I'm not meant to be negative as per my agreement, but jesus, he's actually one of the worst players I've seen in a Welsh shirt. And like I've said previously, I've watched him a few times for Man Utd and he's really not a great footballer at all.

This game is there for us to take it, they are playing so open and their defensive shape is non existent. Both full backs are playing so high and the back 2 are left on their own.....our problem is when we break only Moore is there.
If we had more creativity in the team we could put 2/3 on these

If we take them as a bench mark for youth development, we’ve still got a long way to go yet. Levitt and Smith chasing shadows.

I appreciate it’s a B-team, but poor none the less. The only bright spark imo was Rabbi. Gunts and Roberts dependable. I’m sure young Dylan will have better games!
Brennan for Lawrence please Pagey.

Considering the size of the US and the growth of the sport over there, I'm not too concerned that we're a way off them in terms of youth development. Also Ampadu is around their age and is 20x the player. Hope he gets on today.

I can’t see what the aim is here. Give some people a run-out in order to get fit maybe? There’s been no other objective as far as I can see. Can we have a look at Johnson please?

More unforced errors in one half than I usually see in an entire season. Strangely we still look like we could carve them open if we could complete three consecutive passes.
I’m fascinated to see how it pans out. We look like we’re trying to throw the game, but the yanks won’t oblige as they’ve bet on a goalless draw.

They have players starting for Juventus and Barcelona in their ranks. None of our team are regulars at the top level.
Perspective please.
I thought we did alright. It was more entertaining than the nations league games anyway.

Levitt simply isn't ready for international football. He's young enough to make it yet, but Giggs isn't doing him any favours. Players have to be selected on merit, and Levitt just isn't justifying his selection. Although to be fair he's not being helped by the likes of Wilson, Matondo and Lawrence in front of him. I'd like to see Sheehan given a chance sooner rather than later. Likewise Johnson.

Matondo is able to go past player from deep. Tom Lawrence needs game time but has an eye for goal. We have no real sitting midfielder and Levitt is learning the hard way that a loose pass at international level leads to a turnover and our defence turned. Its an untried back four with an inexperienced keeper despite the odd game. Lockyer looks a calm player. be interesting to see how Josh Sheehan plays at this level.Be nice to get to see Johnson too.

It's a friendly, and essentially our B team so I don't really care, but for me it seems as though the 4-2-3-1 as a system has gone a bit flat for us. Players seem to be going through the motions with their movement, and it's all very predictable and easy to defend. Players don't seem to want to offer for the ball out of their assigned positions, and if they do no-one is looking to pass to them because they are looking to play the simple pass where they're assigned to play it. It's making it easy for USA to press us and keep us at bay. We don't seem able to get anyone on the ball in between the lines, and we're not sustaining ourselves up the pitch enough to whip crosses into our target man or anything
I think we should consider that despite this being a young USA team, on paper they probably have the better team than us. Some of their players play for Man City, Barcelona, Dortmund, Leipzig & Juve - whereas ours are playing for Schalke, Cardiff, Derby, Swansea & Luton. With that in mind, and considering we are essentially playing our B team it's not all terrible. Just think we need to switch system to a back 3
