Apparently going for more than 45 million, obscene that that seems cheap these day's .Why do we like a sport with absolutely no soul anymore 'it say's nothing to me about my life' as Morrissey said before he went racist and mad.

Apparently Ange's top attacking target so we will probably see Spurs get a lot of use out of him in the coming months.

Gut feeling says he’s better off at Forest. But he couldn’t turn that down. You only live once

I spoke too soon yesterday - Cooper won't need to put his name on the weekend team sheet now, by all accounts!

Tomorrow's game against Burnley will come too soon for him. Then it's Sheffield United at home where he will likely make his debut off the bench. Expect him to continue being an impact player for the Arsenal & Liverpool fixtures. Then he could possibly start at Luton away for the first time. Although...
It might work the opposite way, and Postecoglu might see him as better suited to games where they are playing on the counter more, e.g Arsenal/Liverpool

Good news imo.
On another note. How are Forest managing to sign so many players again? Surely their actions are running FFP pretty close.

Pleasing to see a Welsh player on the move upwards, and to one of the big clubs

Good news imo. On another note. How are Forest managing to sign so many players again? Surely their actions are running FFP pretty close. Forest playing the game that the others are using by selling home grown talent which is all profit to the club and when buying players long term contracts given so spreading the term of the transfer fee. Forest are in position where if a transfer goes wrong they have the option of sending a player to Greece to get his wages off the books. It does not sit well with me being able to do that but the likes of Chelsea & Man City have connections with over 10 sister type clubs thats how they have being making money through their acadamy with players who have never kicked a ball for the club in the first team and raking in loan fees.

Movement is great and the way he can make something out of nothing is really good and incredibly useful at this level for us, his finishing was absolutely dreadful though and sadly it often is for us, Turkey away at 0-0, a little difficult but this is international football, he doesn't look like he backs himself at the moment, the two early in the first half were shocking.

Heard it many times from the likes of Lineker and Shearer that the main thing is he's making chances. The finishing will return. Hoping that the Spurs/Ange effect will give him the platform to develop his goal poacher's arrogance. Start him v Gibraltar.

Yeah I think he needs that game and like you say, he's creating chances, the finishing will surely come with the right coaching and of course application from Brennan. He can do it, he was lethal during the second half of Forest's promotion season, he finished nicely against the Belgians and the Dutch, he has it in him.

He has to step up with his finishing. It’s very poor.

He has to step up with his finishing. It’s very poor. It's funny, because at one point he was known for his finishing and for being ice cold in front of goal. In that championship promotion season, Forest played very conservatively under Cooper and so they didn't get many chances, but Johnson would always get one or two each game and more often than not would take them. He had a good run of form last season too where he had a high conversion rate, but I agree there were large periods last season and the beginning of this where his finishing has been very poor. But I think it would be a mistake to let that define him - I suspect it's more of a confidence / form issue. Once he gets one or two, I think he'll go on a bit of a streak.

Agree 100% he is a good finisher, just needs to find his rhythm again. I think he will find it at Spurs, Postecoglu is a big fan and was desperate to sign him

Lack of pre season due to injury , no game prior to international break due to transfer. Just lacking sharpness at the moment which might be of benefit for when the crunch games come. Not sure he will start tomorrow for spurs but im sure he will come good. i think he will start the following week against Arsenal and make a big impact because he could have a big gap to run into if Zinchenko steps into midfield

Playing on the left wing
Being told to stay up the pitch by Postecoglu. Commentators pointing out that Udogie is struggling with Saka, but they've pointed out that Postecoglu is asking Brennan to stay up the pitch and mark White
Had a couple of chances to score, one was a brilliant recovery save from Raya, the other Brennan shot it directly at him and should have done better (although Spurs levelled about 15 seconds later anyway)
Positive half overall, Spurs grew into the game after a slow start. The positive is that he is getting into good positions and affecting the game. Would be good to see some end product of some sort from him today in such a big game

Hope it's not too serious - kind of thing that is not worth risking going back with too soon.
Spurs only have a couple of games before our next camp - Liverpool and Luton.
Maybe Brennan could miss those, and be fresh and fit for us!

He's at a good club now and under a good manager. I'd be tempted to think longer term and give him easy time of it for a little while.
