Azerbaijan war effort still ongoing ;-( UEFA should pull the tournament from there as they are at war. Even if they played all our games in Italy wouldn't bother me. It's not safe for players to go there.

Has anyone had confirmation that they have missed out on the ballot for the Italian tickets. I did read someone that Scottish fans were told at the weekend that they had missed out on tickets for the games.

Corky posted on FB that 9 asssociations had already been balloted by UEFA, the others would follow in coming days.

So rules in Wales means that you cannot end 10 day isolation for Amber country early by taking extra test on day 5. So for those of us going to Baku good chance we would miss round 16 game if we got through. & definitely miss R16 game if u go to Rome.
Unless Azerbaijan & Italy change to green in next 3 weeks?!

Does anybody have any update on the situation in Italy? Last i heard they were coming out of Lockdown, I'm guessing however the same as basically all main land Europe its likely that we won't be on their 'green list' equivalent even if they are on ours. Seems as if European nations are more likely to have other EU countries on their quarantine free travel list regardless of vaccine roll out / infection rate - which probably doesn't bode well for either Rome or *Finger Crossed* a R16 tie in Amsterdam?

Italy is ok if your coming from UK and you have been anywhere in 14 days before that
PCR test and no isolation
Still no news on azerbaijan or any transit countries either

So OFFICIAL Government and FAW advice issued yesterday is for fans NOT to travel to either Baku or Rome.
Both are on the UKs amber list which means ten days quarantine arriving back. Also standard travel insurance won’t cover fans on the red or amber list.

I can't see Government advice changing. UK Government have made a big song and dance about removing all restrictions in England on 21st June and given the increase in other variants and concerns about that they will be trying anything to stick to that date - this will include keeping countries on the amber and red lists. And Welsh Government have typically been more cautious than England on this. Given FAW have released a statement saying don't travel to those games doesn't it seem odd that their official fan travel partner (Wonky Sheep) are still running their trips? You'd think the latter would be cancelling and refunding fans

The Government (Welsh) and the FAW openly advising against travel in my opinion is grounds for a refund, do UEFA see it that way? Does anybody know anymore at this stage?

The way i see it this is "advise" it is not mandatory. If the UK government were truly worried these countries would be red.
They key thing is that the fans that do travel are aware of the risks i.e you need to have specialist travel insurance & u need to self isolate for 10 days upon return.

Some normal travel insurance providers will still cover your for medical expenses, but not any costs incurred for financial losses due to Covid. Nationwide Flexplus for example.

It's a joke that these Euros are held across Europe in a pandemic anyway.

Baku's hard enough to get to at the best of times, let alone all of this additional hassle to put up with.
Glad I visited Azerbaijan for the 2019 qualifiers but going to these Euros seems like way too much ballache for an experience that will be very hard pressed to match the usual Wales Away experience anyway.
That said, probably be great experience for anyone that does manage to get there and into that stadium.

Talk about double standards. Very poor standards from the FAW.

It’s all a bit late in the day as well. We could have done with some advice based on their latest risk assessment when people were having to make the choice of keeping the tickets or not. I’m glad I cashed in.

I’m really keen to still go to Azerbaijan. Quarantine when I get back and finding travel insurance (seems to be a few options) don’t bother me.
The only thing putting me off is picking up the virus out there and getting stuck in Baku in a government hotel. The test to come home looming over the whole trip isn’t exactly my idea of fun.
I wonder how many will still travel in spite of all of this...

If Italy were to go green on 21st June, can we travel back on 21st June without quarantine, even if we were there on the 20th while it was Amber?

The next travel announcement is due around June 6th or 7th, with the new guidelines in place to be followed a few days later.Italy doing well with vaccine progress, but cases still high.I still think it'll be on the amber list but cross fingers, you never know!!!

Anyone still thinking of booking to go to baku
please avoid belavia via minsk if you havent seen news highly likely they will be banned from flying into EU shortly
and if you want to avoid turkey
the only route possible is via kiev using BUTA or ukraine for second leg kiev to baku
or azal direct flight from london
