150 does seem low as if Wonky have cancelled, I think Corky suggested 300-400.
I'm going with one other, from Gatwick via Kiev. Deciding when/where to get a PCR test that covers the time-frame for both flying out and arriving in Baku is doing my head in

Will anyone on here travel to Rome if it stays Amber? Been researching the tests scenario and with the time frames, costs etc it's doing my head in! Anyone else struggling ? Or not struggling and wants to share a company which seems straightforward? Really want to go, as does everyone I suppose , but I can't see it happening!

Thanks for this, however say I have a flight to Rome 10am Saturday morning, I would have to take a test after 10am Thursday morning (as you need to present a negative test taken no more than 48 hrs before travel) there are no guarantees that I would get my result back on a lot of the providers by the time I fly? Unless I actually visit a private clinic and pay a lot for the one test?

Make sure your tickets are in your name. Otherwise you will have to quarantine in a Government hotel at £60 per day for 10 days minimum. If you test positive on the 5th day the 10 days start again. This is no joking matter. You don’t want to be stuck out there on your own. Not a great place.

The example certs I've seen don't mention a time. If they're all like that, your flight to Rome leaving/landing on 19/06 'just' means your test result needs to be dated on or after 17/06
Take a 'walk-in' test on 16/06, and receive the result by 11pm on the 17th (within 24hr service) or by 11pm on the 18th (24-48hr service).
You then have to hope the result isn't issued on the same day or late if using the 48hr service
There, I've put my own mind at rest a little too. We arrive in Baku at 2330 so if we're a little late, could our test result 'expire'

And 48 hours before your flight should leave? Sorry, I suggested this after checking the requirement for Baku. According to www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/azerbaijan/entry-requirements#entry-rules-in-response-to-coronavirus-covid-19All passengers travelling to or from Azerbaijan will require a negative COVID-19 test. The test itself can be taken more than 48 hours before your flight, but the certificate showing the negative test result will only be accepted if issued within 48 hours of the flight’s arrival time in Baku.www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/italy/entry-requirements#entry-rules-in-response-to-coronavirus-covid-19 is less clear

Yes, the same day test result option is the best option for getting your result back in time, but that comes at a premium cost. See what the next Gov update says and decide at that point what to go for.

Corky posted a list of test centres on Facebook yesterday I've just booked my mine through Wonky sheep. £ 59 for the one going out with Express tests and £ 41 for the one in Baku prior to coming back. There was a £ 21 discount on the one going out though. Fair play to Wonky sheep they really are doing all the leg work on this.

They have a centre at the cardiff city stadium so handy if your based around there. I'm having mine done at Brent Cross. The insurance cover they've negotiated for us was just £ 12.50. That was with insurefor.com, much more reasonable than I expected.

Hi,
I'm keen to be directed to accurate advice - so I'd prefer not to receive opinions if possible.
Does anyone know if there is a website or similar to tell you what you need to do in order to go to Rome next week in terms of tests. And what is needed to return to the UK?
Thanks

Does anyone know if there is a website or similar to tell you what you need to do in order to go to Rome next week in terms of tests. And what is needed to return to the UK? Thanks Travelling to Italy
Best sources of advice are the FCO page on Gov.UK covering Italy www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/italy/entry-requirements#entry-rules-in-response-to-coronavirus-covid-19 In there is has info on what you need to do to enter Italy and the various forns you'll have to fill in Going to the gameI've also just had an email from UEFA detailing the requirements to enter the stadium: So depending on which day you were planning on travelling to Rome you might need to take another test to be able to enter the game itself Returning to UKThis is the Gov.UK main advice page on the rules on returning to UK: www.gov.uk/uk-border-controlDepending on where you live the requirements for quarantine in England and Wales are different. But in both cases it's 10 days quarantine at home after returning with Covid tests on Day 2 and 8, but in England you can do 'test and release' after day 5. But you can't in Wales - it's the full 10 days at home. I think the best scenario to minimise tests is to travel to Rome day before the game and back day after. That means if you had a test in the UK before you went it should be valid to enter the game and get you home. From Gov.UK
