Anybody else made their booking with kiwi.com,they do not appear to have an email contact address, tried phoning but it'd be Christmas by the time I connect with one of their agents.

I'll wait a month or so before doing anything with the flights. They'll have probably cancelled themselves by then. I could get 50% back off BUTA straight away but I expect that would then take my right to a full refund if they're still not flying. As with the Ryanair, Air Baltic and Pegasus then there's no option than to wait.

Love them or hate them, but budget airlines have allowed me to go and watch many away games that I simply wouldn't have otherwise been able to afford.

Standard class. Are you sure you've got Budget as there's no baggage with that at all ? Must admit I didn't realise it came with 50% refund if you cancelled. One of the boys cancelled the November trip and we didn't realise he could of got 50% of his fare back. I'd be surprised if you don't get your money back. Unfortunately this issue isn't going away anytime soon.

If they refuse to engage then credit card chargeback is best option. Credit card companies tend to side with their customers.
Only done 2 in my life, last one was Hertz Denmark for the Aarhus game where they supposedly found mega damage but refused to provide any proof despite numerous emails. CC company just charged it back and never heard anything since.

You know when you spend more parking the car or getting to the airport than the whole flights costs it is reasonable.
My kids think people always flew like this and can't believe to get a decent fare you needed to stay a Saturday night and cost was more than flying the lot of us to any destination.
I hear oldies talk of "The Golden Age of Flying", what they mean is that it was when the great unwashed hadn't the money to fly.

Had emails the past couple of days from KLM and Easyjet saying that they're allowing changes to flights for free. Klm offering a refund in the form of vouchers, valid for a year.
Promising sign that the airlines will be fair. Let's just hope that they're still around!

I believe most will (and have) acted fairly for simple reason is no airline wishes to be called out for acting scummy. As likely lots of Govt cash will be going in they want people onboard with a bailout rather than not.

This happened to me once, hired a car in Spain and they tried to rinse me for 399 Euros for damage. I insisted on photographic evidence and they sent me pictures of a Citroen rather than the VW Golf I had hired. Passed to credit card provider for chargeback and instantly had refund and never heard anything since. Credit card provider will also charge them for the pleasure.

Anybody tried to claim on travel insurance yet or waiting to see? I'm currently waiting to see. Wasn't sure how long the FCO advice not to travel applies for? If it covers June we'd be able to claim but I think it's next 30 days only isn't it?

I was also thinking about hotel costs and other things I'd paid for (train from Milan to Rome etc) which I'd need to rely on travel insurance to claim back if the operators don't cancel the trains.

Are they chain hotels or one offs ?
Pretty much ALL the big hotel chains are doing everything they can to be flexible.
If booked by CC then they only get paid once you stay, (correct me from this if wrong please).
Another option is to move booking a year out.

Ah yes, then you're right regarding travel insurance. Luckily for us the AirBnb's we booked for both Baku and Rome were fully refundable.

Anyone on the Alitalia flights to/from Rome on June 20-22nd? The Italian government have propped them up, again, I think so I wouldn't be surprised if they're still flying.

I have received a refund from Pegasus but Azerbaijan Airlines have said they will only refund 50% back. I guess there are others in the sake position. But what to do, take the 50% or wait and hope they cancel?

This still has some way to go so I don't see flights operating by then. I thought Pegasus were only refunding up to the end of May so Ill have a look at that right now.

But what to do, take the 50% or wait and hope they cancel? I've also been in contact with Azerbaijan Airlines too....and had the 50% quoted back. That's 50% of the fare, not including taxes. I said to them that the taxes (or at least some of them) should also be refunded. They agreed which takes the refund up to around 70-75% of the initial cost. Not too bad!! Currently, only Azerbaijani citizens are allowed into the country and I was told if that's still the case at the date of departure....a full refund will be applicable. I also asked about the possibility of transferring the flights to 2021...."not permitted at the moment".

Yeah I got my refund off Pegasus on Saturday, did it online, really easy, although there was a cancellation charge of £34 per ticket.

I was a bit unsure as the response I got from them was a bit unclear. To be honest if I can get 70-75% bank then I would be very tempted to take it.
