I've also been in contact with Azerbaijan Airlines too....and had the 50% quoted back. That's 50% of the fare, not including taxes. I said to them that the taxes (or at least some of them) should also be refunded. They agreed which takes the refund up to around 70-75% of the initial cost. Not too bad!! Currently, only Azerbaijani citizens are allowed into the country and I was told if that's still the case at the date of departure....a full refund will be applicable. I also asked about the possibility of transferring the flights to 2021...."not permitted at the moment". That’s interesting what you say about the taxes. I was a bit unsure as the response I got from them was a bit unclear. To be honest if I can get 70-75% bank then I would be very tempted to take it. Ask them to quote you exactly exactly how much the refund will be....including the taxes. They quoted me in USD, that's standard I guess. Be interesting to know how you get on!! Good luck!

I have booked through kiwi but was wondering whether it is best to go direct to airline?

Ryanair have rescheduled their flight (Man-Rome) on 21/06, as it's changed by more than 2 hours they are offering the option of a refund. That's good. I'm booked to fly out the same route on 20th, returning 22nd, and I've had notification of a 15-minute change to each flight, so there's no option for a refund. I'm hoping for cancellation, but a further schedule change like that would do it. It's a couple of months yet so I'm hoping for one or the other!

Anyone flying with Alitalia to and from Rome? If so, what's your plan?
Naturally I booked the cheapest tickets (£200 each) so expect I'm screwed but you never know. Didn't have insurance at time of booking either.

I’m booked on the 0715 from Manchester to Rome on Sunday 21st and according to my booking details (and on Ryanair’s site) it’s still going at that time? I can’t see a two hour delay... Is that the flight you’re talking about? Thanks.

Hi, it's the same flight (3204) out but it may be the return flight that's changed by more than 2 hours? I'm returning on Thursday the 25th. cheers Al PS - no refund received as yet!

We booked Manchester to Rome via Brussels, brussels air have generously waived their re-arrangement fee, but re-arranged flights must be made before end march 2021! Cancellation fees €70 per flight, so €280 for us, about half of what the flights cost. Just have to hold on until closer to the day

I can’t see international flights being permitted in June. Most of Europe will still be in lockdown or just coming out of it.
I’m holding out for cancellations closer to the time.

For those booked with Klm- They gave a refund in the form of vouchers for me cancelling for the June friendly. Which I thought was good of them.
Not sure if they offer cash refund - they probably will if they cancel the flight (the flight I booked supposed to be non refundable anyway) .
I know I'll use the vouchers (if KLM are still about...)

Air France / KLM will still be about because French Govt (plus likely Dutch) Govt will be providing lots of support.
Way to look at it is money is gone, spent, if use vouchers for flight then yippee but if not then world is in a worse situation where flights are irrelevant (says he with €250 of wizzair vouchers) and whether enough of use are around to watch football may be a bigger issue.
I figure you will use the vouchers.

For some bizarre reason we booked the 'Flex' option for our KLM flight for the June friendly, we usually always go for the non-refundable. Happy we can get a full cash refund.

Agree with oscardelta that KLM are pretty much a safe bet to still be around. What I wouldn't guarantee is that they will continue to fly out of Cardiff at the same rate (if at all). It would seem almost madness for them to go back to flying out of both Cardiff and Bristol, what six + times a day.

Agreed on the airport as well. Sadly I think that would almost be the end of Cardiff Airport as well if that happens. With Flybe gone aswell, they would be relying on a few domestic flights, the Qatar flight (whilst that lasts) and seasonal charters.

Air Baltic have cancelled our Riga to Kyiv flights and offered us a voucher with 20 euros added. They make no mention of a full refund in the email but I assume they have to provide one as they've cancelled. Is that correct ?

They will have to provide one but could take a while, benefit to them of holding on to your cash is they survive where as if everybody gets cash they don't.

I have received a refund from Pegasus but Azerbaijan Airlines have said they will only refund 50% back. I guess there are others in the sake position. But what to do, take the 50% or wait and hope they cancel? I've also been in contact with Azerbaijan Airlines too....and had the 50% quoted back. That's 50% of the fare, not including taxes. I have flights with them and Turkish but both booked (unfortunately!) through Opodo. Also flights booked direct with Brussels Airlines. Brussels are allowing rebooking and you have up to 31 July to do so.

Include Flight Number, dates etc. They wont get back straight away, but once they do its a constant flow. That's my experience anyway!! I've been in touch with Turkish last few days too by phone. 02074716666. So far so good with them and I've had a lot of assistance from them. Very good customer service. Check the Fare Rules of your ticket. Ours are fully refundable...I'm guessing only because we needed hold baggage. Good luck.

I’ve had a refund from BA on my cancelled flight in September.
Was going to rebook with another carrier but seems holiday insurance will not cover anything for coronavirus booked after 18th march
Still have easyJet flights booked in June which are still officially flying

There’s a lady in Twitter currently claiming through her credit card on Section 75 of the consumer act, she’s said she will update us all when she has a response. This will probably be the easiest way to get money back if you paid on CC as I’m guessing most of you will be dealing with numerous airlines. 5 for me in total!

Had an email this morning informing us that our Baku (via Dubai) flight times with Emirates have changed so have applied for a refund, I'll let you know how it goes.
Ryanair have asked for more time to sort the refunds on our Rome flights due to the amount of cases that they are currently dealing with.

Accepted a £41 charge for a refund with Azer after complaining about their change in policy. I know that's coming through as they've already made the fee charge.
Cancelled with Ryanair about a month ago, still waiting on refund and get a "we're dealing with high volume of requests" email every couple of weeks.
