Is anybody, like me, booked on a LUFTHANSA flight - London City Airport - to/from Baku (via Frankfurt) over the June 13 weekend? (To complicate things slightly, I booked via EXPEDIA, rather than with the carrier direct). Any "fellow passengers" had/having any joy on the refunds front? Haven't heard a dicky bird from either Lufthansa or Expedia as to the likelihood of flight cancellation by Lufthansa. Don't particularly want to cancel it myself and accept a Lufthansa 're-booking' offer for an alternative flight (to be taken pre-31 December 2020!) Not the same flight but our Lufthansa flight Heathrow to Baku via Frankfurt was cancelled last week. Called the helpline and refund due a few weeks after flights restart. Booked direct with the airline though

Im not on this flight but was booked & flying with Lufthansa so received an e-mail cancelling the flight last week. I phoned the support centre and got full refund but will unsurprisingly have to wait for it. Try giving the Lufthansa support centre a call on this number 0371 945 9747?

If booked then means you can travel up to Christmas 2021.

Had an email that our flight from Rome has been cancelled with Ryanair. Just rang Pegasus and got that refund sorted, as mentioned above it will arrive 2 months after normal flights resume. We also have flights with Buta Airways and their policy right now is only flights up until 31st May will be refunded. You can get refunds through them once they extend that which is likely, and refunds arrive 60 days after normal flights resume. I've also had the emails off Ryanair this morning. 4 bookings for a total of 15 flights but I cant get further than having the application thrown out as they're busy. We were only using Pegasus from Istanbul to Rome and at the moment that's still running but hopefully that will get cancelled at some time. We we're using Buta in from Kiev and back to Istanbul and I'm hoping they get cancelled, although as their flights were all completely full I'm sure they'll want to run them. Does anyone know if you would get a successful insurance claim on the basis that the first leg was cancelled and the last leg back was cancelled ? You cant as a consequence complete the trip. I assume that if the Foreign Office advice remains the same you'll always be able to make an insurance claim. Keep an eye out as we move through June for Baku hoteliers making a money grab on your credit card. You may have free cancellation but they'll have your card details for confirmation and are probably strapped for cash at the moment. You could probably say the same for Rome. Make sure you save all your cancellations acknowledgements. I didn't for a Paris hotel in 2016 and the bastards took the money.

Same here with Ryan Air. All seven of my JUNE flights with them cancelled and refund application now done. I have another three flights with them in July, which as of today still stand ...
Just in case any of you guys are holding your breath for EASY JET ... I had two flights in March cancelled around 8 or 9 March and twice I received an email saying it is taking longer than expected for refund ... so far its been about SEVENTY days and nothing yet ... I’ll be waiting on EasyJet for my June flights but from the news yesterday these may be flying now 😔 BBC saying that Easy jet will resume many of their frights from 15 June. Which might give me 4 flights back BRS-AMS ; AMS-MXP as well as the original BRS-MXP tickets...
As far as I can tell, Easy Jet still doesn't give an online option to refund, only to re-schedule.

When I phoned them I was surprised to find out we were allowed to cancel whatever the circumstances. Possibly something to do with the fact that we also booked hold luggage, which was one step above the lowest "economy" tickets.

Thanks for the link. To be honest, I'll be dead chuffed if I do get a refund for my inbound (even "60 days after the resumption of normal operations").
Quite frankly, seeing that Georgia is one of the safest places in the world at the moment, I'll be surprised if my 18 June Baku to TBS doesn't fly ;-(

The Azeri government have put a stop on international flights (and land crossings to Georgia) until 31st May. If they are going to lift that, they have a week to do it in. Then Azerbaijan Airlines have to then ramp up again. I'd say that there would be a 50/50 chance of international flights leaving Baku on 17th / 18th / 19th June.

BUS REFUNDS - FLIXBUS Just got my first couple of emails from FlixBus canceling my buses in Holland in early June. Seems that the default option is a 12 month VOUCHER, that can only be used in a single transaction (one voucher code per future booking). On the plus side, their Twitter staff have confirmed that as long as you ACTUALLY BOOK the trip within the twelve months, you can still use that voucher for a trip later in the year... And, the voucher code/amount is TRANSFERABLE to anyone... The Twitter account also says that if you insist on a money refund, you may contact their help page and they will consider it ... global.flixbus.com/service/additional-help

I had an email from Finnair over the weekend telling me my outbound flight in September to Helsinki had been cancelled. They offered alternative flights but I've taken the opportunity to cancel the lot for a full refund given I doubt there will be a game on!

Also love how they expect you to wait 90 days before chasing it up despite them trying their best to refund in 28 days. Any tips on getting quick full refunds for cancelled flights from Kiwi manulike ?

Any tips on getting quick full refunds for cancelled flights from Kiwi manulike ? I would only recommend using KIWI when forced to have a same-day connecting flight. All my flights this Summer were built around one day stop-overs in Milan or Bergamo (...) so I haven't had any dealings this time with Kiwi.
From this page is appear that KIWI are less than cooperative ;-(
Still, after reading Martin Lewis' page about the worst travel companies during the COVID thing, you can be thankful that you didn't use TravelUp or TravelTrolley ... which are usually the first two results when clicking through from SkyScanner ...

easyJet has announced its plans to resume services from June 15. The airline will fly form 22 European airports, and serve a number of UK airports including Gatwick, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Belfast. However, most of the UK routes will be domestic. The only international route from the UK abroad will be London Gatwick to Nice, France. www.express.co.uk/travel/articles/1287154/Flights-easyjet-jet2-ryanair-british-airways-tui-summer-2020-latest

No luck with cash refunds with KLM. Tried all ways including ringing, emailing, what’s app etc......they were very adamant in only vouchers available.
They have even sent me the vouchers even though I have persisted in asking for cash refund.

If the flights have indeed been cancelled, then take it up with your credit or debit card service provider.
I've been hearing on the Radio these last few days that Halifax (Clarity) are particularly good about it, so I submitted a request with them today. In the email response they say "within 45 days" - but people on the radio saying 4 to 5 days!
