Despite the 1-3 result (two late late goals in ET), Jack did well and had a fair few decent efforts, with great movement and interplay with their main man up top.

Slightly different situation though considering he's a couple of years older than the players that played last night though isn't it? Look at Koumas, at 18 it's fine for him to be used for a couple of cup games and mainly play youth football, a bit different when you're 21 and need regular first team football to progress Beck played in cup games as a teenager a couple of years ago, so hardly a huge difference in treatment either. Beck also didn't have the opportunity presented by most of Liverpool's first team being injured all at once |

Having a scan later today (with thanks to dragonsoccer ) - but hope to see him on Friday. I am a little surprised how much praise he is giving some lowly Scot called Robertson, who has achieved nothing. Surely his idol must be Neil Taylor - a UEFA Euro semi-finalist and a Team GB quarter-finalist ;-)
