Beck was instrumental leading up to the goal , his very impressive run down the left and set up resulted in a corner that Blackburn scored from, he looks a real prospect for us down the left, along with RND which will be hugely beneficial to us as it's an area of the pitch we can improve upon.

Had a good game against Swansea. The thing that impressed me the most was how you played more like a seasoned pro than a youngster.

The Owen and Ryan show carries on this afternoon ;-)
EDIT Both a little off their usual game, in the first half. Owen struggling a little with the Tom Ince runs / crosses. Also, not really effective in the air. Ryan, had a lot of the ball in the first 20 minutes, but mainly ineffective.
Sadly, Owen failing to prevent the cross and then Ryan handeling the ball, with the lead-up to the Watfors pen ;-(

As much as I enjoy seeing Owen's technical abilities and dead-ball skills, he is not yet ready to be a viable option for our Connor. Owen needs to work on his upper body strength and heading the ball. He looses out almost every time on one-on-one battles and then reverts to fouling. Connor is much the better defender.
Wonderful prospect and great future option.

Pretty much where I'm at with Owen. Technically, and prospectively, very good player. But looks like he could get snapped in half at any time. His lack of physicality, compared to Connor Bradley, who isn't exactly pulling up trees back at Liverpool, was immense while the two were at Bolton. Pulls out of 50/50s too much for me, particularly headers, or goes in gung ho to take his man out on occasion. Opposition coaches will look to expose this. Not sure he's natural defender, maybe another attacking LWB.
