With Kieffer out he has every chance of making the cut. He's something different but doing really well as a no.9 in the Championship

And wins the free kick for Colwil's goal. For a wee man, he is certainly a handful!

Was hoping he’d start for Cardiff tonight and prove his worth . Now I’d rather see him at Burnley. I think it’s better for him

Feels like Cardiff have about 2 players for every position at least Crucial point is that most of them are shit though, Davies isn't I've no faith in Morison to make the most of a genuinely talented group of youngsters, he's already bombed out a few. Davies and a few others would probably be better off back with Bellamy at Burnley

I'm certain Morison would love to sell Davies and Colwill. He doesn't know how to use them and he's not creative enough to fit them into his rigid and close-minded playing style, so he'd probably rather get rid of them now so he doesn't have to face the fans and media asking why they aren't playing every week. Cardiff's board would be fools to sell our young, promising homegrown players like Davies on the whim of a limited manager like Steve Morison - there's a high chance he'll completely crash and burn and be sacked by Christmas, so it would be incredibly short-sighted to ship out our assets for a bargain price. I have no faith in our board to make the right decision though.

It seems the club hierarchy at least have a bullish sense of the player’s value and potential. They may perhaps be keen to see how long they can hang on to those players in the belief that they know themselves that sooner or later Morison will give himself enough rope to hang himself.

Honestly, I’m kind of glad Bale didn’t go to Cardiff now. It’s all very will giving him stick for not doing Welsh football a solid by raising the profile of his hometown club but really the club seems to be doing very little for Welsh football itself at the moment by the sound of things.

A lot of people would reply to that saying what about Gunter, Ramsey, Blake , Matthews , John and Ledley. But until now Cardiff almost went a generation contributing nothing to Welsh football and now we have the chance to do something and we’re screwing it up. Cardiff’s best contribution to Welsh football is the stadium and that’s not good enough. I’m not saying Cardiff should be the Barcelona or Bilbao of Wales but couldn’t they have some sort of a we start with 3 Welsh eligible players a game? Not 6 but 3. Even man Utd and Liverpool find room for a token manc or scouser I’m the squad

The club hierarchy didn't even want Morison to be the manager in the first place, the chairman publicly said so! Morison is yet another bullshit merchant that has got the Twitter fans happy because he uses cliched manager speak along with a cockney accent. He talks a good game about bringing through young players but bombed most of them out at the first opportunity, he has no idea what to do with Colwill (our best player) and doesn't fancy players with technical ability (for all the talk of a new playing style, a premium has still been placed on athleticism ahead of skill). Evans and Bowen both looked comfortable at Championship level, he's gotten rid of them.

Is it really beyond Cardiff to unearth a handful of Welsh players every generation to be able to fill out a match day squad every week?

Now all of a sudden they have (had?) something of a clutch of potentially decent players coming in, they give them a few games and then the first opportunity they get they seem to have closed them out completely by now having two seniors for every position. On the face of it there doesn’t seem to be any sort of coherent strategy going on there at all.

I was all for signing a few players to help get the best out of Colwill & Davies et al, but it seems like Morison has signed too many and I really hope they don't get pushed out. They, along with Eli King & Denham, just need consistent time on the pitch and they will take us to another level, I don't like the idea of player Premier League loan signings ahead of them

Absolutely ridiculous and it'll be his undoing, I wouldn't say any of them are better than average Championship players

He's signed a lot of middling raff that could turn out to be good, but the squad is too big now & this will impact the development of our prospects Already out of 1 cup as well, which will slash the game time of plenty of those

Sad to say but hope he goes to Burnley. Craig knows him. He'll be in a progressive environment and presume Burnley don't have 2.5 million plus to spend on someone who isn't going to get game time.
