Last time I looked the vast majority of the crowd watching Wales games are straight white men so you don’t have to cry yourself to sleep yet. Pathetic So why weren't any of those straight, white men who have poured hundreds, thousands into the FAW coffers rewarded with free tickets for the last game like the Asian women were. We are an international football team not a cultural advertisement. Time to focus on what is happening, or not, on the pitch rather than all this PC Nonsense. I’m sure most straight white men don’t get as worked up about it as you. Man up and stop punching down

We are an international football team not a cultural advertisement. Time to focus on what is happening, or not, on the pitch rather than all this PC Nonsense. What's this Asian women free tickets? I'm not calling you out or attacking you I'm genuinely curious. People may think it's PC nonsense and if that upsets you try and think of it from a marketing perspective. 2 of our 3 home nations leagues games the stadium was nowhere near full. V South Korea it won't be full. By giving free tickets to groups of people who wouldn't otherwise attend it encourages them to come back as paying customers and maybe they bring children or people from a non Caucasian background to future games to support us . You give out 200-400 free tickets here and there and in the future that action might mean there's a thousand paying fans in the ground who might not of been there. The more fans we have the stronger our identity and fanbase is in the future. Plant a few seeds. Literally last year we failed to fill our stadium for 2 competitive games. How on earth is trying to grow the fanbase a bad thing?

Can I just add that from a human perspective it's also the right thing to do to welcome in different groups?
I realise there is reason it's been brushed over, message being directed at specific audience of one person, but just as an additional note.

Well if you post a load of b*llocks you will get called out on it. Sorry, that's just the way the world works It's b*locks in your eyes, but to the point in a lot of other eyes. And if you don't think straight, white males, (the basis of Welsh Football Support) are being marginalised then I suggest you take your blinkers off. I'm a straight white male and I haven't experienced any marginalisation in this respect More to the point you sound really whiny and pathetic when just seeing people at games from a different racial background upsets you The more fans we attract from diverse backgrounds the better. More interest and more participation improves us as a nation

This is a poor interview: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66306118"But what we don't do, we don't make knee-jerk decisions just based on a lot of people upset that we lost a game." No Noel, a number of fans have been upset for a while now. He's a chronic twitter user, surely he can see that fans have been concerned for ages. This isn't a knee-jerk reaction. "If we go backwards that's not acceptable to the FAW - that's not acceptable to anybody." If we go backwards? We are going backwards! Why do I get this feeling that the focus seems to be on everything else apart from mens national team under Mooney. Seems like he's more obsessed with making the FAW into some political/cultural body than a footballing one. Maybe he'd be more suited to joining Plaid Cymru. Agree with your sentiments. Women, Gays, Transgender, Asians appear to be the way forward for the FAW. It's just a shame the vast majority of historical support for the Welsh National team are now being marginalised. I do realise this post will get pulled and I will be banned into the hyperspace of people who can no longer post, but we can't all be modern day liberals. One of the most horrendous takes I’ve had the misfortune to read on this website. If you honestly think as a straight white man that you’re being marginalised then I can only assume you’ve been somehow brainwashed by the Andrew Tate’s of this world. I honestly feel sorry for you but also feel that Welsh football is better off without the likes of you following.

I said before and will say it again , Mooney is a fraud , crook ,phrase it how you like Men’s senior team the laughing stock of European football He’s ploughed millions of FAW money into grass roots football , women’s game for little reward 23 FAW staff have left the association during his 2 years in charge , seriously that’s not right He’s the wrong person for this post and should sod off back to Ireland or wherever he came from He’s rude , obnoxious and not even Welsh ( or British) Jonathan Ford , for all his faults would never ever have left Welsh football get this low

Mooney was brought in to strengthen the base of Welsh football while growing revenue opportunities, while not letting senior men's side slip too much. It was almost definitely the right brief and getting to the elite round at youth level and increased crowd number's for women's game (plus friendlies against Portugal and USA plus one game away from World Cup) is the start of the reward. One could argue that lack of strikers, center midfielders and goalies immediately coming through was always going to see levels slip as Bale etc. performances dropped so focus on what comes medium-longer term was sensible. 23(?) FAW staff is a bit concerning. I think this is the strongest point you put forward. The weakest points you make are us being laughing stock now and him not being Welsh.

Ive noted reply - good feedback- thank you Maybe not quite the laughing stock of European football - granted but we have just been battered at home by…………. Armenia Turkey away - lucky only 2 Mooney have Rob Page a 4 year contract - not many 4 year contracts given in football nowadays - Mooney decisions seems sloppy at best Anyway let’s hope your right and I’m wrong and we get back on track with Rob and Noel steering the ship Ps - I would love a free ticket to attend a match in these trying times

To be fair though, all Wales has is the national team. If there's someone in the Cymru Leagues in the national squad in 20 years I'd be amazed that it's done so well or we've done so bad. Not a jab at the Cymru Prem, which I do follow, just being realistic. Plowing all the money the national team has earned into grassroots is just a waste. Its benefitted from Euro and World Cup money and all we've got is the Cymru app. The domestic game vs other nations is failing. Even Gibraltar managed to qualify for the Conference League before we did. Take Harris away from TNS and we're potentially bottom of the pile. We're benefitting from a bored businessman to avoid utter humiliation. Most of the improvements demanded for grassroots teams have been self funded. I think the guy is extremely lucky to be where he is. If he's planted seeds that will grow in years to come that will be great, but there's only so long you've got saying give it time. He needs some short term achievements too to give me faith he knows what he's doing long term that aren't based solely off Gareth Bale's back.

Somethings going on, he’s obsessed Obsessed and barking up the wrong tree. Mooney was employed by the FAW to pump money into the grass roots- any signs of benefits wont be seen for a few years. It is the FAW who tell Mooney what to do that should be his issue, if he disagrees with the strategy

Can't remember the percentage now but wasn't the opening day attendance of the Cymru Premier up at least 75%? Looks great for him doesn't it? Does he deserve credit for something there or has he been lucky Colwyn Bay played in the English tier for so long?

Hopefully all these things have a positive knock on effect

Why hasn't he come out and said something publicly about the recent reports?
And by that, I don't mean just brushing it off with a random reply to someone on Twitter.
It may not be a big deal to him, or others, but it's clearly had an effect on Page, the squad and fans.

Taxi for Mooney!! If the story was true, shows how deep his football knowledge is. That's a masssive 'if' though. That Mooney might have been sounding out the availability of potential replacements for Page rings true. Let's face it, it's what most fans seemed to want him to do. But Roy Keane? Really? That would make no sense on any level. My impression is that Mooney is far more astute than that.

I'd have been more concerned/surprised if FAW higher ups hadn't been discussing managerial options after that woeful World Cup and dreadful results in June. It would be naïve to suggest otherwise.
