Definition of indifferent "neither good nor bad; mediocre." "If something is unremarkable, that means that there's nothing special about it and no reason to call any attention to it." If you can see a difference then a career in hair splitting awaits. I think ratings in the 6s are pretty good. Assuming we want to place a relatively high value in computer generated ratings that lack context. For example, there's no chance fotmob took the conditions in Montenegro into account.

Jordan James is turning out to be a very strange deal
You are getting so much game time and getting better and better. Why on earth go to a so and so club in the French league to sit on the bench. Whatever is said this move so far is not helpful for his development

Whatever is said this move so far is not helpful for his development He didnt get any minutes again today Rennes looked a great move on paper they do play young players and I thought/possibly he did too he was going to be to be used a lot, he may need a loan in January at this rate....one of the Welsh clubs please so CM is not looking good, dont get me wrong I really rate JJ and he has to start but he is lacking match sharpness and if Joe is going to be given game time too, he isnt match sharp either that isnt good at any level let alone International level, especially if has been said we will try to play high tempo football, that engine room needs to be fit and sharp, but lets see what Bellamy has in mind as regards the set up and game time some of what he wants may need tweaking

Whatever is said this move so far is not helpful for his development That’s not really the case. He wasn’t a regular in the Birmingham team after Rooney was sacked, he was in and out. Brought back in for the relegation decider and was sadly anonymous. It sort of says a lot that free spending Birmingham clearly had the funds to retain him over the summer if they valued him but they opted instead to let him go and the decision so far looks to have been a good one for Birmingham and a not-so good one for James. Early days of course but it seems like another player who is being judged on a few international games a year rather than what happens with the people who see him week in week out on the training pitch. If he wasn’t good enough for Birmingham’s first XI last season then it’s not going to be a surprise that he can’t get in a league 1 first team which is a step up, probably not much of one when comparing most of league 1 to the championship, but seemingly enough to be a considerable challenge.

You're all so fucking negative. He's just moved to one of the better teams in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe. He's only just turned 20. Of course he hasn't gone straight into the team. It was never likely that he would play every minute or start every match. He's also only been there about a month.
Let's wait and see how regularly he's playing in a few months / towards the end of the season before completely writing this off as a terrible move.

And what on earth is this nonsense?! He played 42 times and scored 8 goals for Birmingham last season, and started the vast majority of those games. You're just completely making things up here to fit a narrative you've made up in your head. Also, how do you know Birmingham didn't try to keep him but he, quite rightly, preferred a move to France's top flight rather than stay in League One?

I imagine before this move materialised JJ spoke with Joe Rodon who himself found that he was in and out of the Rennes team during his lone spell.

He was playing pretty regularly for Birmingham actually and contributed a few goals too and the fans consistently praised him as one of their better players too! He had 42 appearances for them and scored 8 goals last season just in the Championship! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_James_(footballer,_born_2004)

Also, how do you know Birmingham didn't try to keep him but he, quite rightly, preferred a move to France's top flight rather than stay in League One? Yeah look I can hold my hands up when I get it wrong and I had a nightmare there! I looked at the stats before the relegation decider game and saw he hadn’t been in the side. Over time my recollection of the games he missed obviously got a lot worse because looking at it again he only missed half of April and the start of May so yeah not long and most likely an injury, so I stand corrected on that. I think the observation on whether or not Birmingham wanted to keep him still has merit though. Ultimately we don’t know. Birmingham do have money and more often than not footballers will follow the money so to me, Occam’s razor would suggest they didn’t break the bank in terms of retaining him. Either way, in terms of going abroad to a top level league you can’t fault the likes of him and Sorba choosing to do that but given the lack of appearances it seems like trying to stay in the championship was a better choice for the short term.

Rennes have sacked their manager and just hired Sampaoli, not sure what that means in terms of how his style matches JJ but hopefully it's more minutes at least.

Hopefully gets more minutes at Rennes soon. Way things are going, could be him rather than Sheehan making way for Ampadu in March?
