Israel and Bosnia? How on earth is that possible? Must have won their League B groups No idea about Bosnia, but Israel had a decent run of games last couple of years. Israel, in the group with Belgium, Italy and France - playing home games in Hungary - so can not really imagine any upsets there.

Bosnia won a group containing Finland, Montenegro & Romania. Israel won a group containing a disqualified Russia, Iceland & Albania

Surprised they got the better of both of the other teams albeit they are a decent team I guess. Could cost us dearly as they have never qualified for anything before

Does anyone know how many tournament tickets we've sold for this campaign and what sort of crowd we are looking at for Friday?

Does anyone know how many tournament tickets we've sold for this campaign and what sort of crowd we are looking at for Friday? Unsure on campaign tickets but the original stadium is virtually a sell out and the middle red seats are selling well. The upper red middle blocks have just been put on sale. Will be looking at over 25k home fans. Certainly a healthy crowd.

Definitely 25,000 plus home fans, dependant upon how many Turkey sell, then the attendance could be around 27,000, which would be on a par with the Belgium game in the Nations League in 2022. Our crowds for the Nations League have been very good.

Not good, was looking forward to seeing how he performs in Bellamy’s new system. A chance for others to step in though.

Be interested to see who gets called in to replace DJ. Bellamy has spoken of wanting like for like replacements but literally no one stands out as being that. We already have Matondo & Koumas in the squad so maybe Colwill will get called in as another forward option rather than a like for like?

I think koumas to start is a no brainer, the guy is fast strong and fearless ,I think he will probably get about sixty minutes, well hopefully, he's on a run let's give him his head in the first game,if it doesn't work out thats ok, plenty more time,no pressure just work hom in over time

The nations league are effectively qualifiers, though. I hope we don't treat this campaign as a bunch of friendlies. Grab the campaign by the bollocks...try and win the group and get ourselves a play off spot. It gives us a free hit at Qualifiers next year then. I really like the Nations League so didn't mean to sound dismissive of it. They're much better than friendlies and I like the squash ladder kind of approach but it is,I think, an opportunity to try things out that you might not risk in a qualifier. Still pick a strong team and try to win but it's not the be all and end all. It's probably a bit of a ballache for the bigger teams the Nations League. But for the likes of us it's a potential back door (no lube) entry into a major tournament. Therefore go for it 🏴🍻

Loads of stipulations but we may not have a WCQ game in March anyway if we’re in a playoff (if we finish 2nd or 3rd) as we’ll play those in March anyway so we’ll play our first games in June or September depending on the number of teams in our group. I don’t feel they’ll let it happen where we have a game against a ‘mystery’ team in March, it’ll just get pushed to June at the earliest as the mystery team will have Quarter Finals to play in March anyway. It’s an absolute headache trying to understand it all but that’s my understanding currently. Someone please correct me if not as I could well have got something wrong.

This article doesn't really tell us anything other than FIFA plan on finalising the draw details over the next week or so. I guess we just have to wait for that.

Declan Rice with surely the first muted celebration out of " respect" for his former team in international football?
2 former Irishmen on the scoresheet. Must be tough to take

You’d think the German players and fans would look a bit bored winning 5-0 in the Nations League, but the players and fans have been incredibly enthuastic. Amazing to see how a top nation takes every fixture so seriously.

Looking at that YBIG forum and the players eligible for Ireland thread they are eyeing up some Northern Ireland players.
