Wonder if he'll get into a matchday squad this season He's been training with the first team, so you'd like to think so once they secure promotion.

He is ridiculous. Hatrick for Fulham u23s. Only just turned 17 as well. Has to be involved in the training camp imo. Him, Popov, Zac Williams and Jordan James (if he accepts of course…) would be my four nailed on to be called up.
Edit: make that 4 goals …..

Also broke a record (I believe) against Newcastle last month by scoring a hatrick within 10 minutes or so - again from midfield, and at the age of 16!

He may well be committed to us, and I imagine his is- no chance would England not be impressed by those numbers too. But I still think we need to ensure that his long term future is with us. He has been fast tracked to the u19s but I reckon he deserves to even be fast-tracked a bit quicker than that. Coupled with the rumoured changes regarding Channel Islanders without Welsh heritage may be being considered English in the future it may be worth giving him a cap or 4 in the very near future so we don’t get shafted if he doesn’t have Welsh heritage (I’ve seen conflicting reports that he does and doesn’t). Better to be safe than sorry in this instance, he could very well have a top class career. Unsure what Woodburn’s numbers were like at 17 but I doubt they were as impressive as Harris’. Even if areas of his game are still needing some development (he didn’t have too many touches in the game) and he is only extremly young still, that natural ability to finish chances is something that we lack currently imo. Not uncommon for kids from ‘unfashionable’ teams to be involved with the seniors too either (Amps at Exeter pre Euros and George Williams at Fulham to name a few). Call him up Pagey!

Can someone in the know finally clarify his status?
I seem to remember a post on here saying they lived close to his family and that his dad was Welsh and wears a Welsh football shirt around? Is this 100% correct? If he has a family link from Wales and no other link to any other home nation then is it correct he can only play for us and there are no plans to change this rule?
I don't want to be worrying about him as he seems the real deal!
If he is not fully committed by the rules then once again FFF - Bodin what on earth are you there for? Guys like him should be accelerated, just like the Birmingham lad. Bale and Ramsey were playing for our seniors at 16 /17!!! Did them no harm and no reason why a 17 year old should not be playing U21 football for us, at least as part of the squad, if they are talented!

Yes, that's what I've seen too - someone claiming to know the family and claim that his dad is Welsh, ergo according to the rules he would only qualify for us, and yet according to dragonsoccer's sources he only qualifies through the channel islands route. So would be nice to see it confirmed

He’s eligible for Wales and England and has represented both at youth levels. If you go on his page on Fulham website which is on page 1 somewhere that’s the official info given on him

Then why on earth isn't Bodin accelerating his integration by selecting him for the U21 squad? Just wait until England name him in their U21s before us!
Seriously - look back at the U21s squads - there is always lots of dead wood you know will end up going nowhere. Move the talents up !!!

The official FaulhamFC web site has him down as "Welsh" and calls him a "Welsh international" etc. I imagine our Neco and Harry saw to that ;-)]]
Only just turned 17 this month! DOB 03.04.2005

Luke Harris will not get called into England U21s for the same reason

Luke Harris will not get called into England U21s for the same reason If a player gets selected and decided to play for England in a higher age group than we’ve selected him in then it’s still not looking good for us. Personally I wouldn’t feel any different if James was leaving us to go to England u21s than I did when he went to England u20s

Snippet from a Fulham Q and A article: “our performances have earned you several international call-ups. Captaining the Under-17s must have been memorable? It’s really special. It’s something for my dad as well who loves Wales. It feels different to club football because you’re playing with lads you see less regularly. I personally love going away on international duty.” Must have ties of some description, if only emotionally if not by blood. www.fulhamfc.com/news/2022/may/15/Luke-Harris-The-Story-So-Far/I should hope he’s given at least a training spot in the EFL camp.

Started tonight's friendly against OG Nice and won a penalty leading to the only goal so far. Lots of praise twitter - really impressive against Ligue 1 opponents! He and Savage should 100% be in the next u21 squad

As you say, deserves to be fast-tracked even further than he currently is within our system.

He and Savage should 100% be in the next u21 squad Most will know I hate the tedious hyping of young players who have done sod all….but even by my high standards these two sound like they should be bypassing the under 21s. They should be training with the main squad.

I think it was suggested he could play for England?
Hope he is committed to us. Looks like he can play midfield or forward.

I think it was suggested he could play for England? Hope he is committed to us. Looks like he can play midfield or forward. If you look at his twitter, literally everything is retweeting either fulham or Welsh content - there were loads of stuff around the playoff final, even retweeting a compilation of S4C commentary during the goals we've scored. So I get the impression he wouldn't entertain other offers

We should get him training with the first team, getting a real feel for it all, if he's still doing well call him up for a Nations League break and then give him his debut as a sub and we've got him. I don't agree with doing that I must say but if he wants to be part of it we don't want to get Declan Rice'd.

It was mentioned somewhere that he and his family were at the Wales Netherlands game as guests so we are starting to do stuff like that.

His twitter account full of Wales tweets mobile.twitter.com/lukeharris2005 Not to say he couldn't play for England but gives off the impression he'd be happy to feature for Wales.
