For those of you wanting the also do Dubrovnik, here is a little info that I found, There are no ferries from DUB to Split until April, but there is a direct flight (not Croatian Airlines via Zagreb) that costs €50 here - tradeair.worldticket.net/booking If you are intimidated by the 4'30'' bus ride on flix, you can also take THE TRAIN between Split and Ploče (five daily / 2h) and then a bus on to DUB - another 2h. At the moment, the only direct flight INTO Dubrovnik that I seem to find is from Barcelona ...

I finally booked that Barcelona to Dubrovnik leg...
If anyone fancies a day in Dubrovnik, Vueling are still selling the Thursday before the match (18:20 take off) for €50. There is a BRS to Barcelona EasyJet that day at 0715 for £25...
Also, worth looking at EuroWings from Dusseldorf / Cologne to Split.
Its stlll possible to fly back on the Monday via Dusseldorf (€60) or via Cologne (€50) but that one is very late on the Sunday night. Then, any number of Easy Jet flights from Amsterdam?
If you use EuroWings website, you can Fly Monday from Split 4pm and stop-over in Dusseldorf 1h and be in Birmingham for 7.15pm! For €150

Not sure if they’re the same price but we’ve ended up going:
Gatwick to Dubrovnik on the Friday which was around £130
Dubrovnik to Split via one of Leigh’s buses on match day which was £35
Split to Gatwick on the following Tuesday, we’ll miss the home game sadly but only way we could get it down to a reasonable cost, that was £25. There is an earlier flight back to Luton or London City which would get you in in the morning so you’d probably be able to make the game but we needed to fly back to Gatwick.
All in all less than £200 for flights so fairly happy with that. Option for people if they’re still looking. Can’t wait now.

On the news this morning that prices have shot up in Croatia since the introduction of the Euro last week. shock, did the same here in Eire Yes. Its very obvious when looking at bus / airport shuttles and ferry prices. Practically everything increased by 15-20% on 1 Jan... And its very appearant also that March is NOT the best time of year for flights/ferries etc ;-((

For those thinking about doing one of the two islands nearby. Hvar can be a very busy half day: ferry out 1400 ; arrive Hvar Town 1500 ; Bus to Stari Grad at 1630 ; Arrive SG at 1705 and take the final ferry back at 1730. Brac island is much easier to do at a lazy pace: into Supetar there are 9 ferries a day even in March. I have been informed that the villages of PUČIŠĆA (Arriva buses every 2h - the last one back to Supetar at 5pm) another nice village is SUTIVAN, with last bus back at 1625 www.arriva.com.hr www.croatiaferries.com/starigrad-split-ferry.htm

Another very unconventional one.
MCR to Charleroi (Thursday 7pm) - Stay one night Charleroi to Zagreb (Friday 1pm) - Few hours in Zagreb Zagreb to Split (Friday 11pm) - Overnight train with bed/cabin, arrive in split 7am matchday Split to Dublin (Sunday 10pm) - Stay one night Dublin to MCR (Monday 7pm)
All in (flights/hotel/train) that will cost £240.
Has anyone ever booked trains in Croatia? I could do with some help, there are a few different websites all showing different prices. I want to make sure I book the right ticket (with bed) with it being an overnight train.
Anyone got any experience?

I booked the Zagreb to Osijek train a few years ago. I seem to remember it being easy enough and ticket was sent instantly to print out yourself. This was on the Official Croatian rail website. Wasn't a sleeper though so not sure if that differs.

Bit of a tough one to get to, but should have a decent allocation. 8 weeks to go.

When do we reckon tickets will be on sale?

1700 available.
Four from the last nine matches (excluding covid effected games) guarantees you a ticket.
100% collection.
Doesn't say when they go on sale.

100% collection is absolutely the correct thing to do.

Here we go again with school children. Next thing you know, the players will be on strike and will refuse to play their friendly game...
ALSO, PLEASE NOTE: All supporters allocated a ticket will need to collect.
Lead bookers will not be able to collect on behalf of those they have purchased for.

I emailed tickets@faw.cymru and Matthew got back to me within 5 minutes - reserved me a seat and then I could log back in, see the reserved seat and pay for it.
