Rationale for starting Rodon is to build the partnership with Lockyer. Not sure there's any point starting Lockyer (who's had a few fitness issues recently) if he has players either side of him in Poole and Mepham that won't start against Croatia - it defeats the point. Ben Davies and Neco have only played 15 minutes of football between them since the last break, so I think they need 60 in the friendly tbh. Same for Moore. Ampadu I'm more unsure on - on an individual level, I'd definitely want to wrap him up in cotton wool, it's just that he and JJ will be facing Modric-Kovacic-Brozovic on Sunday, so might be good to give them a bit more time together. I would be surprised if the uncapped players aren't all given debuts, especially the ones brought up from the u21s |

Surface at Cae Ras is usually pretty good and drains well.
As for the weather, it's supposed to brighten up from teatime - with no rain at all forecast for tomorrow eve.

Iām in Wrexham now (came up early as couldnāt be arsed with the 4 hour drive tomorrow) , hard to believe that the weather will be bad tomorrow as itās so mild now,But will bring precautions regardless (if I remember cos Iām pissed now haha)
Saying that, Iāll prob be there tomorrow with shorts and a Welsh shirt like itās the summer haha

Luke Harris not even starting in a friendly vs Gibraltar is a bit annoying! Not sure why Page is seemingly reluctant to play him. Perfect opportunity to give him 60 to see what heās made of. Same with Beck! Otherwise as expected. Beck makes complete sense to me. Neco needs the minutes and the priority should be to get him in the best possible shape for Sunday. So 60 for Neco and 30 for Beck. As for Luke Harris, he would have had to come in for Broadhead or Cullen - neither have been given a proper shot in a Welsh shirt yet (Cullen hasn't played at all) so I think it's fair to start them, and give Harris 30. The other thing to consider is that both Harris nd Beck will be flying out to Czech tomorrow and will have a massive part to play in that game, which is only 2 days away! Although admittedly, by that logic you'd expect to see Savage on the bench too |

Nice to see some new faces in the mix.
I hope Bradshaw gets at least a half. Iād imagine Moore will play at least 45 mins as a warm up to Croatia.
Im worried that weāve just become over reliant on having a big man up front and we dont have a plan B. This game could have been ideal to experiment a bit more.

Why bring Wayne on? What do we learn? Page just robbed either Beck or Harris of a cap. Disappointing. Edit - didnāt bring on either of them. A baffling oversight from him. Unless Ward is injured of course, www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67018592 might point to this. He said Savage, Beck and Harris would feature. Very strange decision to use Wilson as a LWB instead of Beck - what was the point in calling Beck in if you're not going to play him there when we are 4-0 up?
Equally disappointing to see Wayne coming on for Ward instead of Harris coming on too

I can only imagine that Wilson wanted to come on in his home(ish) town in front of his family. But that's too sentimental for me, made the Beck and Harris callups slightly pointless! They wouldd have been better off staying with the u21s
