South Korea at home in September will be a great 'end of summer' friendly fixture. They have some skilful players and will be a good test for us ahead of the Latvia away qualifier. Especially if we've done well in June against Armenia and Turkey, there will be a big crowd in attendance. I guess the attendance will depend on how they price it. Probably will be £20 adult + £2 fee. To me they should do an early bird discount for tournament ticket holders to try encourage people to buy, maybe £18 + £2 to make it a round £20. Expensive time of year with kids going back to school. Cost of living etc. Thursday night, difficult to judge.

Who has bought for Korea so far?
Usually I am right on it, asking those I go with if they want tickets, but I just cannot be bothered with it right now. £28 is a lot of dough and it’s likely it’ll be a Wales B game.

Can't think of anything worse than an 8 hour round trip, two days off work and a hotel stay for this one tbh!

It’s a shame the South Korea friendly isn’t played in Swansea!

Has anyone kept count of the number of teams outside UEFA we've played over the past x years or so? Wiki has the following list since Millennium:
1. Qatar; 2. Brazil (x2); 3. Argentina; 4. United States (x3); 5. Canada; 6. Paraguay; 7. Trinidad and Tobago (x2); 8. New Zealand; 9. Australia; 10. Costa Rica; 11. Mexico (x3); 12. Panama; 13. China; 14. Uruguay and 15. Iran.

It’s a shame the South Korea friendly isn’t played in Swansea! Yeah no real attraction to going to slogging it all the way down to the CCS yet again, for a friendly. Never been to the Liberty so it would at least be something different.

Bought my tickets yesterday... was surprised at the price though. Shouldn't have to pay more than £20 for a friendly in my opinion... and that should include the booking fee! Expecting a lot of empty seats for this one... considering it's also back to school week for families.

Remember your paying for the women's wages too now, they need new nails and batteries every month. Knobhead statement. Interestingly though, although the boys and girls receive equal pay it's only 8 quid for a ticket gir the girls upcoming match v Denmark for a red wall member. £10 for a non red wall member, whilst the FAW mooted the idea of £40 for the boys matches.

Yeah ticket sales, sponsorship and advertising for the Women's game probably cover their wages from FAW. Hilarious how some blokes still get their knickers in a twist over it

Same blokes probably go home and knock their wives about too. Total losers.

- Sutton United charge £25 for league game in League 2, seated ticket. £28 for football ticket isn't that extreme, while of course being an extra expense during difficult times for others,
- We are in a smaller group for Euro's qualifiers than most which means less than expected revenue (although we're regrettably fixing that by chasing play-off place)
- There's a lot FAW need to invest in and undervaluing matchday tickets is unlikely to be part of their strategy
- A Thursday friendly game isn't likely to draw in big crowds and it would be better to have cheaper tickets to get fuller stadium. Valuing your international side as £3 more expensive than League 2 football could indicate that this is a cheaper ticket in terms of where football is currently.

Maybe a discount for Red Wall members or especially for tournament ticket holders would be nice. I'm sure I remember there was a friendly against Finland once where tournament ticket holders had a free (or heavily discounted) ticket.

£28 is a mad gamble when you consider that very few fans from the north and west (which make up a disproportionate percentage of your usual matchday crowd) will be able to justify going.

In response to some comments, firstly I'm not against women in playing sports, there are some females such as in horse racing where they compete at the same level and are very successful and are paid the same as men, but I don't see how the equal pay is going to benefit the game of football at all levels in Wales, the next five years is a crucial period for the game in Wales imo, and the simple truth is, the men's national team is in decline after the heady days of 2016. Apparently there are a total of six nations including us who pay equally to the men and women's teams, will the FAW generate income to continue to pay out such fees in future years , we are not the England FA, they generate millions each year from tv coverage and getting treble the crowds we get, it's another planet to us. I imagine success on the field will dictate the level of sponsorship deals and ticket revenue etc., but we don't have star players, we don't have someone who can add a few thousand to the gate receipts, you lot down south will stop going or fight each other if results don't go in our favour. The Wales men's team consists of mainly lower than EPL players struggling to play regularly, and not all of them on decent money, will they continue to want to show commitment to the together stronger attitude, I'm not so sure they will, and just to add on a personal note, whatever players receive for representing your country should not be about money, that is what this is all about with the women, and why I am against the decision to pay equally. Stil we've got the red wall ...for now !

Just a little bored with all the bickering, gloom and general grumpiness...
I've bought my ticket today for the game against Republic of Korea, and am looking forward to the match. Let's hope we win it, to put us in the right frame of mind for the important away qualifier in Latvia a few days later.
Roll on September the 7th, I say ... now less than six weeks away.
