Poland are unchanged from the last game.

Given Poland play a 3-5-2 there is a danger they will push on the middle 5 giving them a numerical overload against our 4 in front of the back three. So perhaps starting with Moore is a counter to this, so we can evade the high press, by hitting it long. We could end up 3 vs 3 if Poland aren't careful. This could be a smart move by Page. Moore needs to be careful with his elbows. As long as Moore doesn't touch a Polish player, because they will be dropping like flies if their last game is anything to go by.

Fair point, but if they push their DMs on then we could face 3 against our two in front of the back 3. I suspect this is the plan of the Polish manager, who has spoken of an intention to take the game to us.

I'm not so sure about my match prediction now, will have to watch how it goes in the opening stages, and see if any team can establish dominance in any areas of the pitch.

Interesting to see how we set up out of possession. I doubt we'll go with a high press, but a mid-press, as against Croatia may be the way Page goes. The danger of a low block, or zero block first half vs Finland is that we give far too much of the ball to Poland resulting in our support being quiet. We need a bit of hwyl in our game, we can't be too passive.

I suspect this is the plan of the Polish manager, who has spoken of an intention to take the game to us. Piotrowski is their anchor in midfield and Slisz likes to play slightly ahead, while Zielinski is very fluid between the lines. Even Kiwior likes to venture forward on the odd occasion, but the biggest problem will be neutralising their wing-backs who are both pretty good. It's going to be an interesting game.

Page just said he's anticipating a high press, hence Moore.

But we're dominating them generally, just need the breakthrough.

Very marginal, probably off. Happy with the performance and the setup, although long balls to Kieffer not working. Just need to be a bit sharper with our passing, a bit laboured at times. Neco not in it yet, but Johnson probably having his best game for Cymru, Ampadu excellent, Jordan James not at his best.
All in all, encouraging.

Guess no one's watching No one on the forum fella when the game is on...don't be so needy mun!! Even without a VAR replay the still frame on TV strongly hinted that he was offside. No complaints.

Fair play to ward, considering he never plays the passing out from the back looks good,I haven't had one heart attack yet

We've done really well. I'm a bit worried we are a bit out of shape now with Dan James at RWB but got faith in the lad. I love Moore but I think he's run his race to be honest. Maybe bring Broadhead on.

The change to 4 at the back was forced, but not a bad thing. Will we bring Ramsey on? Probably for Wilson.

I think Neco is at right back and Davies at LB, back 4.

Ward is fucking awful at penalties, looked like a child in goal. Gutted.

Gutted. Unlucky no faulting the effort or tactics. Just lacked that bit of quality in the final third. At least we won't have to endure a very difficult group in the Euros.

Ward is fucking awful at penalties, looked like a child in goal. Gutted. His record over his career is quite good, especially in important games. You can’t judge him on one shootout. I know it hurts, but no need to react like a child. What a way to lose.

Ward is fucking awful at penalties, looked like a child in goal. Gutted. I thought they were excellent penalties. Either clinical or composed. Just one of those thongs unfortunately.

Fine margins. Had plenty of the ball just lacked cutting edge. Not sure I'd have Dan James taking the deciding penalty mind.
Onto the next one. Lots of positives from the campaign regardless. Interesting what happens next

Better team won. Fair wnough.
However Page bottled it again with subs. Leaving Moore on who was fucked after 70 mins with pens in mind.
