Kane is a right diving twat.

1-0 quite underwhelming for them, no?
Harry Kane 6ft plus falls over like a twat.

Have to say Jude Bellingham seems a pretty grounded guy for just 20 and having done so much already, hope we have someone like him coming through, god knows we could do with it right now

Wondering who was going to put their hands up as the dark horses, but looks like they are the best candidates so far. Not expecting much from Belgium this campaign so wouldn't be surprised to see Romania top the group tbh

Or the Ukrainians are completely out of their depth, very much like us at Qatar.

I think even you are struggling to defend the indefensible now NJ ( even though most of us on here think your actually Page himself ) Pages race has been run… time to depart next stop before things turn nasty. id hate to see a Cardiff home crowd turn on him. 😂 Let’s go through every team in this tournament and compare the result against pages record against them. Let’s stick to current facts shall we… 6 wins in last 24

Couldn’t score against a Rob page defence could they 😉 And we couldn’t score a goal against Gibraltar 203rd in the world. Merthyr would have put 3 on them ffs

Anyone noticing how the Baltic teams like Slovaks, Slovenia and Romania shoot on sight of goal.

Anyone noticing how the Baltic teams like Slovaks, Slovenia and Romania shoot on sight of goal. None of the teams you refer to are a 'Baltic' team. You mean, Balkans but even that's not geographically correct. Everyone loves a long range goal, but the most successful teams employ long shots pretty sparingly.

Yes I meant Balkans, bollox, I believe Slovenia and Romania are part of the Balkans. Nice to see the 'Pep' effect has not reached them yet.

Great for the competition that Slovakia are winning, but this results will add more evidence to the Page In defence.

Great for the competition that Slovakia are winning, but this results will add more evidence to the Page In defence. The 4-0 loss can't be excused, and Belgium are a team in decline. There is an argument for keeping Page (if that's what you mean by the Page In defence), but the argument against doing so is probably stronger

Saw the game in a Flemish youth hostel bar. Never ceases to amaze me, how considerate, rational and sympathetic the commentator (and the lads in the bar) here in Belgium are, towards their players and coach! I blame it squarely on robert page! Obviously they were bursting with confidence and the Belgians were terrified of a team that just beat us 4-0!

So that was officially the biggest upset in the history of the competition, according to Clive Tyldesley. I'll trust he's correct because he's good with his stats, but that's surprising if true. Remember being far more shocked at Iceland beating England or Greece beating Portugal (x2) and France in 2004 when they happened.

There is an argument for keeping Page (if that's what you mean by the Page In defence), but the argument against doing so is probably stronger Belgium still no3 in the world (yes, Im surprised too). So for us to lose with our B team to a side that beat the 3rd best side in the world - that can only help Page’s case in remaining as manager. I reckon thats how the suits at the FAW will see it too.

Perhaps he means in terms of difference in ranking (Belgium #2 in Europe, Slovakia below us), albeit I have no idea where Iceland or Greece were compared to the teams they beat at the time

Think that the Belgian commentators said that Belgium have not lost to a team outside the top 50 since 2010.
I agree. The Icelandic win over England in Nice was FAR bigger upset ... I was there :+)

FIFA rankings represent past form, pre-tournament seeding dated even more than that.
An upset is based on size of the nation, numbers in playing pool, what league players are playing in and how deep they go into major competitions, money involved in the associations, expectations going into the game...

Great for the competition that Slovakia are winning, but this results will add more evidence to the Page In defence. Imagine we only lost 4-0 to the European champions with Cabango, Stevens, Da Silva and Sheehan starting. Fair play to the lad.

Incredible atmosphere in the Turkey vs Georgia game. A lot of Turks in Germany but also a bit of a derby game I guess. Georgia making a good go at this after being a hair away from going 2 goals down. Been the better side since equalising
