I emailed the FAW asking whats happening about kick off time. They responded by saying they are waiting for Slovakia to decide and let them know. Crazy. You would think they would demand a kick of time, so the fans can make plans.

Wales - Yes, that would be cool Slovakia - Where shall we play it? Wales - Anywhere you like Slovakia - we can give you 2250 tickets for Bratislava or 1800 for Trnava Wales - We don’t mind where Slovakia - Let’s run with Trnava then Wales - That’s fine Slovakia - we will let you know the date, possibly 9th June Wales - The 9th is fine, or the 8th, we don’t mind Slovakia - Probably the 9th Wales - Our blazers might want a Sunday afternoon sesh, so evening kick off ok? Slovakia - Not sure on that one, can we let you know? Wales - Yes, no problem, our fans can book flights nearer the time, once we know kick off time Slovakia - Flights are more expensive nearer the day of the game Wales - That’s no problem, the blazers don’t pay, only the peasants. Slovakia - Ah good. We will let you know sometime. Wales, Fine, we need 150 tickets for the blazers ok. Slovakia - Fine, that’s 1650 for your fans. Wales - ok.

I find it ridiculous that no kick off time has been announced, many weeks after the fixture was agreed, incompetent.

We have booked a taxi for 8 from vienna airport to bratislava on sat 8th June, we are arriving at 10.10, there are 5 of us so space for 3.
It will be roughly €10 each, cheaper and quicker than the bus.
Anyone who would like to jump in with us pm me asap.
Cheers 👍🏴

Trnava is lovely. Last public train back is at 10.39pm on Sundays - and the station is about ten minutes walk away - they might possibly put on a later train for the locals - but they certainly didn't last time...
NB - before cancelling hotels, you may wish to wait on FAW confirmation, as the actual match page has KO now at 7.45pm ...

I've booked a night in Trnava just incase P, tbh even if it is 19.45 I think we will still stay in Trnava as it saves alot of hassle getting back to bratislava, got told that the last time we played in Trnava there was a shortage of taxis.

Can't really imagine needing a taxi in Trnava. It is a tiny town - more Pontypool than Pontypridd... Lovely old town walls with gorgeous restaurants along it. Pretty much everything is a 10-15 minute walk...

Bless um, our Lucy and Mathew are probably busy scouting for hotels in Cyprus for the Euros. A simple friendly doesn't compare. Get your priorities right ;-)

Bless um, our Lucy and Mathew are probably busy scouting for 5* hotels in Cyprus for THE BLAZERS in the Euros. A simple ONE GAME PISS-UP friendly doesn't compare FOR THEM. Get your priorities right ;-)

UEFA page and FAW still have TBC Slovakia match page says 1945 and their press release said 2045 ... I imagine that the SFZ will insist on digital tickets, so that they can tweek it last minute ...
Confused? Just stay tuned and you won't be ;-)

FAWales confirmed yesterday 7:45pm kick off BST as posted a few weeks ago by the SFA 8:45pm local time I've looked at it still says TBC.
It was in yesterday's Newsletter: "Following the match at the Estádio Algarve, Cymru will then travel to Trnava to face Slovakia at the Anton Malatinkský Stadium on Sunday 9 June (KO 7:45pm BST).
Ticket information for both fixtures will be announced in due course."
I imagine that "in due course" means, as soon as we sort out our charter yacht from Cyprus, because there are no flights ;-((

Just a heads up for those using the train TO/FROM Vienna. If you buy it on Austrian Rail OBB site or app, you must print the ticket out from a railway station inside Austria! ZSSK Slovakian trains are about €1 dearer - both circa €19 return, even if bought on the day from the kasa. My understanding is that the return ("DAY" trip) is valid for up to 4 days and includes the regular bus/tram connections (on day one only) inside Bratislava! Finally, THE TRAIN STATION IN BRATISLAVA for the arrivals from Vienna is at Petržalka - which is about 5km South of town (€5 Bolt ride to centre) as the Main Railway Station hl. st. (hlavna stanica) is being renovated up until December 2024... ZSSK Bratislava to Vienna ticket covers bus 93 between the main station and Petržalka station.

Staying in Vienna beforehand, watch the Gibraltar match from there.....planning on a river ferry / catamaran down the Danube to Bratislava. About 75 mins.
