Just a heads up for those using the train TO/FROM Vienna. If you buy it on Austrian Rail OBB site or app, you must print the ticket out from a railway station inside Austria! ZSSK Slovakian trains are about €1 dearer - both circa €19 return, even if bought on the day from the kasa. My understanding is that the return ("DAY" trip) is valid for up to 4 days and includes the regular bus/tram connections (on day one only) inside Bratislava! Finally, THE TRAIN STATION IN BRATISLAVA for the arrivals from Vienna is at Petržalka - which is about 5km South of town (€5 Bolt ride to centre) as the Main Railway Station hl. st. (hlavna stanica) is being renovated up until December 2024... Will the main station in bratislava be in use for the journey to trvana?

Staying in Vienna beforehand, watch the Gibraltar match from there.....planning on a river ferry / catamaran down the Danube to Bratislava. About 75 mins. You do like to show off H, I hope it comes off mate. I booked a speedboat taxi from the port at Split airport but the debacle at frankfurt airport put pay to that 😡

From a search on predaj.zssk.sk/search Looks like 80% of the departures are from the old main station still = hlavna stanica. A couple of depts from Bratislava-Vinohrady and Bratislava-Nové Mesto, which could also double-up as an option for Vienna bus!

Trnava is lovely. Last public train back is at 10.39pm on Sundays - and the station is about ten minutes walk away - they might possibly put on a later train for the locals - but they certainly didn't last time... NB - before cancelling hotels, you may wish to wait on FAW confirmation, as the actual match page has KO now at 7.45pm ... I've booked a night in Trnava just incase P, tbh even if it is 19.45 I think we will still stay in Trnava as it saves alot of hassle getting back to bratislava, got told that the last time we played in Trnava there was a shortage of taxis. It is a 19:45 kick off, UK time. Looks like there is a later train at 23:30?

We decided to cancel the Sunday in bratislava and stay in Trnava instead because we have a morning flight from bratislava, instead of 2 journeys, we are doing just the one on the Monday morning, it saves rushing to get back to bratislava after the game, we can chill out in Trnava after the game.

Perhaps it’s free entry. Only 5 weeks to go.

Perhaps it’s free entry. Only 5 weeks to go. As long as I get my VIP pass!
Last time, it was off, then no fans, then only Welsh fans, then some Slovakian school kids and then everyone was welcome. In comparison, the arrangements for this are silky smooth ;-)

Tickets? Anyone any idea when the imbeciles at the FAW will give us an idea when the criteria will be released?

Tickets? Anyone any idea when the imbeciles at the FAW will give us an idea when the criteria will be released? Been following the Slovakian FA Facebook account, a few Slovakian football X accounts and using google translate to search using every combination of Wales and tickets - nothing shows. Apparently they’re all giddy and excited about some tournament or other, kicking off next month. Maybe forgotten about us ? Unless my Googling skills are letting me down badly, it may not be our end that’s causing the delay.

Oh, Them €20 VIP tickets are a steal! It’s only a very reasonable €160 for a VIP ticket. Slightly more expensive @ €250 for a Sky box ticket - bargain ! futbalsfz.sk/muzi-a-vstupenky-na-pripravvny-duel-pred-euro-2024-s-walesom-v-predaji-online/Whilst highly unlikely (hopefully) that those travelling will need a plan b to buy tickets, the following suggests nothing other than registration required to buy…. TERMS OF PURCHASE OF TICKETS registration – creating an account on the Maxiticket.sk website, necessary especially for the delivery of electronic tickets for one purchase, i.e. per registered user (customer), it will be possible to purchase max. 4 tickets direct online purchase of tickets, without the possibility of reservation and without the possibility of purchasing at brick-and-mortar sales points the match is not conducted in a special mode and it is not mandatory to provide the data of each ticket holder when buying tickets

Hopefully the allocation should see everyone travelling ok for a ticket. Anyone in any doubt, I tested the link posted previously and got a £6.50 ticket for my Slovakian friend Jurajic Llewelyn-Griffiths Jones. No registration required, tickets issued immediately by email.

Stage 1 is any 3 out of last 10 games ... FAW don't sound very confident about this one. I imagine going to Cyprus is far more sexy ;-)

The FAW must have rushed through producing the ticket criteria ... probably didn't have enough time ... There are actually ten games in that list ... and quite bizarrely, the LATER Slovakia away (October 2019) and Hungary away, which were both after the Croatia game, were omitted. Folk that went to Azerbaijan in November that year, must be feeling gutted ... #TogetherStronger The last 9 away qualifying/friendly matches were: Armenia v Cymru 18.11.2023 Latvia v Cymru 11.09.23 Türkiye v Cymru 19.06.23 Croatia v Cymru 25.03.23 Belgium v Cymru 22.09.22 Netherlands v Cymru 14.06.22 Poland v Cymru 01.06.22 Estonia v Cymru 11.10.21 Czech Republic v Cymru 08.10.21
Croatia v Cymru 08.06.2019

I suspect the Croatia game has been left there by accident and they are just counting the 9 most recent matches. No restrictions on buying a ticket for Gibraltar as there are so many seats available. But my mate without Red Wall membership can't go as he hadn't bought a membership before they were taken off sale last year

There looks to be only one train from Bratislava to Tyrnava on match day, and that’s in the evening. So that’s a no go.

There looks to be only one train from Bratislava to Tyrnava on match day, and that’s in the evening. So that’s a no go. You must be searching under the wrong TRNAVA? At least 2 trains an hour from Bratislava hl.st. and the last train back on the Sunday is at 23:31. From memory, the station is only 15-min walk away from Stadium. The first train back on Monday morning is at 4am - although I would be surprised if there would be an all-night bar in sleepy Trnava on a Sunday night ...

I just got Hopintaxi fare from Stadium to downtown Bratislava (Saturday, 11pm BTS time) for €42
