First. Kudos to the FAW - a massive statement of intent, with a game on the Austrian doorstep! Second. A huge boost to my personal Summer expectations ;-) Bring it on.
I shall revisit this page and add a few tit bits from my 3 visits between 2015-2019.
Budapest to Bratislava is under 3h and €9 on the train - no need to reserve.
Vienna airport and Vienna downtown are both under 1h to Bratislava and only €5-€6 - loads of buses!

Going back a good few years, my mates and I had a great time in Bratislava & Trnava when we beat Slovakia 5-2.
Our fans were split into two separate sections of the ground, and there was a lot of "It's all gone quiet over there" songs etc going on. Many of the home fans had boycotted the game because of a dispute with the Slovakian FA. Bellamy, Bale, Ledley, Simon Davies and others were all on top form for us that day.
Looking back at the team sheet for the match (2007 - 17 years ago!), our keeper was one W Hennessey. Yma o hyd!
My other (hazy) memory is of the Slovaks being quite hospitable hosts, especially in Bratislava, and of lively late nights on the disco barges moored alongside the Danube!

The encounter in Slovakia may be our only early summertime 'Wales away trip" this year.
Optimistically, it will be an excellent 'taster' trip ahead of the EUROS!

A kick off time would be good. If it’s afternoon I can get a flight back that night.
If evening I will have to wait until Monday morning.
London flights are by far the cheapest.

I have just checked the HOPIN Taxi app (the most popular local one) and Trnava stadium to BTS airport at 10pm tonight is ... €25 Most local rides inside BTS were €3-4. Taxify is another decent bet in BTS.
If you are desparate and need to use Uber or Bolt they are currently €34 from stadium to airport.

I've been told that we will be playing Spain but they are playing andorra on the 6th June, we are playing Slovakia on the 9th and the euros start the week after so I can't see when we will be playing them? |

Got Ryanair flights Stansted - Kosice returns @£75 including carry-on and priority nonsense. Couple of days in Kosice, which is supposed to be a brilliant place, train to Bratislava @ £19 return for a 4hr trip. 4 nights in Bratislava, then same again on home trip, with another stopover in Kosice.
Ryanair still showing flights out to Kosice from Stansted @ £18 on the Friday and Saturday. No flights back from Kosice until later in the week, but may be a cheap option to get out there. Trains to Bratislava every 2 hours, which also stop at Trnava.
