Been reading up on Slovakian politics, there are thoughts that this event could escalate and this could possible jeopardise our game in three weeks, perhaps this is why the faw have stopped the sale of tickets. Think you are getting wayyy too deep there E. I doubt the FAW would pull sales on those grounds, unless the UK Gov advised against travel. Nothing untoward on their web site currently regarding Slovakia. Always go with the simplest explanation until proven otherwise. Didn’t the purchasing criteria always say this for the game ? Stage 5: Midday Friday 17th May until 2pm on Friday 17th May Open to: Supporters with a 2022-24 Red Wall Adult/Junior membership. The Gibraltar game also shows the same status, with no tickets available. Perhaps H but as the reports have stated there could be a crackdown which could affect travel, I bloody hope not, as you well know we have been really looking forward to this one after the debacle on March 26th.

Looks like the Slovakia railway app is a total waste of time... Note that when you book BTS to Trnava trains (€2.35) the ticket is actually valid on all subsequent trains (OS and Rex) up until 4am ... so if you are buying a ticket, book an earlier, rather than a later time...

I booked for 6 of us on the 12.55 on the day of the game using the link you posted P, no probs whatsoever.

We have 2 seats available on our mini bus from Vienna airport to Bratislava on Saturday 8th June. We land at Vienna at 10.10am, so we would be leaving Vienna around 10.45am ish. It’s a quick way to get to Bratislava from Vienna, should be there in 45 minutes. Cost is about €12 each First come first served.

Just a quick heads up, before I forget... Bristol airport (as well as Gatwick?) have already implemented the FREE LIQUID policy - no longer needing to separate liquids (or electronics) - just leave it in the hand luggage... Just as China and India were able to do back in 2017 :+)

Do you know if this has already been implemented in other countries by any chance? Only ask as I'm flying out from Gatwick, out from Seville and out from Vienna over the few days.

Only this says it's changing on June 14th www.bristolairport.co.uk/at-the-airport/security/YES :+) Departed Bristol on 20 May (to Larnaca) and the staff were all very clear about asking you to put all your liquids BACK in your bags! The BBC had an online article that I saw that day saying Bristol and Gatwick were the first in the country to implement the new rule and that Manchester is struggling with it...

Another quick heads up, especially for those flying to Croatia (and Turkey). I found an ATM app finder, that is very similar to the old MasterCard Nearby app. It's called ATM FEE SAVER. Most actual bank ATM in Slovakia and Budapest won't charge you - But ALMOST all ATM in Croatia (€6-€7 per withdrawal!) and Turkey do - certainly worth downloading :+)

Tickets are still on sale for this game. Many flights are still very cheap, so could be a few last minute folk.

Arrived in Kosice, eastern Slovakia. Scorching here and the beer is cheaper than their chips. £1:20 for a superb ice cold pint of Buckvald 12*.
Booked the train to Bratislava Saturday. £27 for a first class ticket on a 5 hour journey. Despite minor translation challenges at the station, we were able to confirm that there’s a proper old school bar and restaurant car on the train.
Not bumped into any other Welsh travellers coming this way…..yet ! Wales away….

I've been in touch with them about the floods and they told me the botel is not affected by high river levels! Hopefully by Saturday the water will have dropped. Water wings packed just in case
